Fury vs Usyk Undercard Accumulator Tips
Joe Cordina Round 9-12
Joe Cordina defends his super-featherweight world title when he takes on Belfast’s Anthony Cacace.
The Welshman is unbeaten as a pro and claimed won his IBF belt for the second time when he beat Shavkat Rakhimov last year. In Cacace, he faces a hard-punching, hungry fighter determined to make up for lost time.
At 35, the Irishman is three years older than Cordina and I expect the champion to be a little too sharp, fresh, and stronger at the weight. I believe Cordina will assert his authority in the second half of the fight with win by late stoppage.
Opetaia vs Briedis
Jai Opetaia Round 1-6
One of the rising stars of the sport is also in action in Riyadh with the cruiserweight IBF belt on the line. Jai Opetaia is a man on a mission to unify his division and will look to make another statement against the hugely experienced Mairis Briedis.
It is the second time the pair have boxed, the first ending in a points win for Opetaia two years ago. Expect the Aussie to do an even better job this time around and win inside six rounds.
Itauma vs Mezencev
Moses Itauma Round 1-2
Also, keep an eye out for Moses Itauma who continues his heavyweight education deep on the undercard.
The 19-year-old is the future of the division and faces experienced German Ilja Mezencev in what should be, on paper, something of a step-up.
That said, Moses is a teenager in a hurry, and he has made short work of most of his foes with six first round stoppages in his eight fights.
Itauma may have to work a little longer than normal against Mezencev, but this should still end early with him forcing a stoppage in the first couple of rounds.
