Betting Tip: Manchester City to Win & Under 3.5 Goals
Manchester City cruised to a 3-0 win last week over Everton where they showcased their precise passing and routed to goal to the best of their ability once again. They’re a joy to watch at the moment and have shown it against the elite sides to winning midweek against PSG as well as completely dominating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier in the campaign.
They face a West Ham side who suffered a rare defeat last week and it was a deserved loss against a decent Wolves side. Key men were rested in Vienna midweek so they should come into this clash relatively energised and they did cause City a few problems last season in this fixture. Ultimately though the hosts are likely to monopolise possession which in turn leads to fewer chances for the opposition.
There’s options all over the park for Pep Guardiola and he knows if his defence keeps it tight he has the requisite quality in the squad to break teams down, even if it takes a little while. David Moyes sides tend to be quite stringent at the back themselves and he tends to opt for a slightly more pragmatic approach in these kind of away games and with good reason too.
City are short enough to win here but we can get a generous 6/5 by chucking under 3.5 goals into the mix. Crystal Palace are the only team to score at the Etihad this season in the league and with this pick we get a whole host of correct scores onside in what should be a fairly routine victory for the home side.
