Macca is backing the two strikers to make an impact in Spain vs Italy at Euro 2024.
Morata Over 1.5 Shots On Target
Last week, I tipped Morata to score against Croatia on oddschecker. Spain have shortened in the list of favourites to win the Euros after their opening performance – featuring a Morata goal - but the odds for him to score again remain the same as last week.
To maintain our value-first approach, I’m exploring the props market. While Morata is just over 2/1 to score anytime, he is 3/1 to have more than 1 shot on target - a feat he achieved in under 30 minutes against Croatia.
The 31-year-old Atletico Madrid forward is Spain’s main outlet as their number 9, averaging a goal every two games throughout his international career.
During the qualifiers, he looked sharp, averaging 0.74 goals per 90 minutes, thanks to the talented wingers providing excellent service. Morata is a man in form.
Scamacca Over 1.5 Shots On Target
In my Euro 2024 second round goalscorer tips article which you can find here, I tipped Scamacca to score. To reduce variance, I'm approaching this from a different angle. Spalletti has chosen Scamacca to lead the line for Italy after his impressive domestic form.
The Atalanta striker averages 3.69 shots per 90 minutes and 1.59 shots on target per 90 minutes over the past year. With Italy looking to secure a strong position in the group, I can see the 25-year-old wanting to prove his worth to Spalletti.
Over 1.5 shots on target is generously priced around 3/1, and Scamacca has covered this line in two of his last three starts.
