The hosts have brilliantly bounced back after a woeful start to the season—winning two of their last three matches (away at Rubin Kazan and Dinamo Moscow)—and this looks like the perfect time to play struggling Akhmat.
The visitors have just one point form their five away games this season, mustering just a single goal during that time, and considering Sochi’s mini-resurgence, it’s hard to look past the hosts heaping more misery on Akhmat.
Ostersund v Djurgaarden - Swedish Allsvenskan - 18:00
Hopping over to Sweden, my tip is for leaders Djurgaarden to beat an Ostersunds side in freefall.
Djurgaarden have won nine of their last 10 league matches, and it’s crucial they win this one to maintain their place at the top.
As for Ostersunds, they’ve lost their last six matches; that’s unlikely to change following the visit of the leaders.
Viking v Mjondalen - Norwegian Eliteserien - 18:00
Finally, we visit Norway, where I have in-form Viking getting the better of struggling Mjondalen.
Viking have won three of their last four home games, and are unbeaten in their last six in the league.
As for Mjondalen, they’ve not won away from home in nine matches, and have lost three of their last four overall.
