ENCHANTED GARDEN won in the style of a big improver here last time out and this looks a decent opportunity for Anthony Mullins’ filly to complete her hat trick. 

A surprise winner on her final start last season on handicap debut at Dundalk, she reverted to turf when facing a big field over tonight’s C&D and having travelled strongly throughout, she exhibited a useful turn of foot to sweep by her rivals over a furlong out and go clear in the run to the line. 

A nice scopey filly with the potential of more to come, even her new assessment looks south of her capabilities and in a race that doesn’t appear to contain anything of any great note, she deserves to be played accordingly.

Both Roscioli and We’renotreallyhere arrive following wins last time out but preference instead goes to KRACKING who should prove hard to beat if replicating his recent turf form. The Stuart Williams trained four-year-old was an impressive 8 ½ length winner at Salisbury on his penultimate start off a mark of 60 before finishing 2nd when racing too keenly on Monday. 

That run last time was in theory off a mark of 67 but Kracking runs here off a mark of 62 meaning that he is 5lbs lower than last time and also 8lbs “well in” at the weights based on his new adjusted rating of 70. Luke Catton takes over on board taking off a handy 3lbs and he should prove hard to beat from Stall 1.

The favourite for the opening race on Day 2 at the Ebor Festival is the most backed horse racing selection so far through oddschecker today. HEAVENS GATE has taken more than 35% of the bets on the Sky Bet Lowther Stakes at 13:50.
