Who are the five most popular Cheltenham Festival bets over the last 30 days via oddschecker.
Champion HurdleSee All Odds
1. Lossiemouth: Champion Hurdle
Willie Mullins' superstar mare Lossiemouth has been the most popular Cheltenham Festival 2027 ante post selection among Oddschecker punters over the past 30 days, accounting for 24% of all bets placed.
The defending Champion Hurdle winner boasts a remarkable record of four wins from four Cheltenham Festival appearances, including victories in the 2023 Triumph Hurdle and the Mares' Hurdle in both 2024 and 2025.
She finally tackled the Champion Hurdle in March 2026, producing a dominant display to beat Brighterdaysahead by six and a half lengths, before rounding off her campaign with another Grade 1 success in the Punchestown Champion Hurdle in May.
Confidence in her prospects of retaining the crown has been boosted by recent comments from Mullins' assistant David Casey, who said the mare "is in great order" and described her as the stable's "main contender" for the Champion Hurdle.
There is also a feeling that the two mile hurdling division lacks an obvious challenger, with several leading novices expected to go chasing this season.
The combination of her exceptional Festival record, encouraging stable reports and potentially limited opposition helps explain why punters have been keen to support Lossiemouth, who is now a best priced 6/4 to secure a fifth consecutive Festival victory.
ArkleSee All Odds
2. Kabral Du Mathan: Arkle
Dan Skelton's Kabral Du Mathan has attracted significant ante post support for the 2027 Arkle, accounting for 19% of all Cheltenham Festival bets placed through Oddschecker over the past 30 days.
The six year old was cut from 8/1 to 6/1 for the Arkle on 15 October following an impressive chasing debut at Perth, where he cruised to a 19 length victory under Harry Skelton as the 2/9 favourite. He has continued to shorten since and is now a general 5/1.
Previously a Grade 2 winner over hurdles, Kabral Du Mathan finished fourth in last season's Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham, having travelled strongly before fading over the three mile distance.
The switch to fences and return to two miles looks particularly promising, with Kabral Du Mathan jumping almost flawlessly on his first attempt over the larger obstacles.
Skelton has since confirmed that the Arkle is his long term target, with a possible run in the Graded novice chase over two miles at Cheltenham's November Meeting, "as long as the ground is right", followed by the Henry VIII Novices' Chase at Sandown or a Christmas assignment at Kempton.
With proven Graded form, an encouraging chasing debut and a clearly defined Festival target, Kabral Du Mathan has quickly emerged as one of the leading British contenders for the Arkle, explaining the surge in betting interest and significant shortening of his price.
Kabral Du Mathan is not the only Arkle contender attracting significant support, however. Willie Mullins' Narciso Has has accounted for 14% of all Arkle bets on Oddschecker over the past 30 days, and he has been cut from 16/1 in the summer to a general 8/1.
Owned by JP McManus, he was one of last season's most exciting juvenile hurdlers, winning Grade 2 and Grade 1 contests at Leopardstown, including a four and a half length victory at the Dublin Racing Festival.
A setback subsequently ruled him out of the Triumph Hurdle in March, but he is expected to embark on a novice chasing campaign this season.
That potential has clearly caught the attention of ante post punters, although former jockey Ruby Walsh has raised doubts over whether Narciso Has has the speed for the Arkle's demanding two mile test.
Supreme Novices HurdleSee All Odds
Down Jones Road & Love Me Tender: Supreme Novices' Hurdle
The Supreme Novices' Hurdle has attracted considerable early betting interest, with Nicky Henderson's Down Jones Road and Willie Mullins' Love Me Tender both featuring among the most popular Cheltenham Festival 2027 ante post selections.
Down Jones Road has been one of the more intriguing market movers, shortening from 50/1 to 14/1 despite having yet to make his debut under rules.
The four year old, who is owned by Joe and Marie Donnelly, joined Henderson after winning his only Irish point to point by eight lengths at Tattersalls Farm in April for trainer Colin Bowe.
Much of the recent interest appears to have been fuelled by glowing reports from his connections. Bowe described the son of Crystal Ocean as "very, very special", while Henderson described him as "a very exciting prospect for novice hurdles" in his October stable tour.
Jerry McGrath has also called Down Jones Road a "superstar in waiting" for the Seven Barrows operation.
Meanwhile, Love Me Tender was backed from 33/1 into 20/1 following an impressive introduction to hurdling for Willie Mullins, and he is now a general 16/1.
The German bred four year old, who was previously trained on the Flat by Peter Schiergen, finished tenth as the 7/2 favourite for the Ebor at York in August.
However, he made an emphatic start to his jumping career at Listowel on 23 September, cruising to a 20 length victory under Paul Townend in a two mile maiden hurdle.
Mullins was pleased with the performance but acknowledged that the gelding still needs to learn to settle better, having raced keenly in both the Ebor and his hurdling debut.
With both horses attracting approximately 11 to 12% of Festival bets over the past month, punters are clearly looking for potential ante post value in an open Supreme market, which Feel Gut currently heads at around 10/1.
Brown AdvisorySee All Odds
4. He's On Fire: Brown Advisory Novices' Chase
Willie Mullins' exciting prospect He's On Fire has captured the attention of Cheltenham Festival punters, attracting 24% of bets in the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase market on Oddschecker over the past 30 days.
Owned by Rich and Susannah Ricci, the gelding made just two appearances for Mullins last season, but both resulted in emphatic victories that marked him out as a potential star.
After making a winning stable debut by 20 lengths at Carlisle in February, He's On Fire stepped up to Grade 2 company at Fairyhouse in April, where he demolished a competitive field by 12 lengths under Paul Townend.
That performance left Mullins particularly impressed, while his son Patrick, who rode him at Carlisle, hailed him as "pretty breathtaking" and expressed excitement about the horse's future over fences.
The enthusiasm has continued into the new jumps season, with Mullins' assistant David Casey identifying He's On Fire as a likely candidate for the stable's novice chasing team.
Speaking in October, Casey suggested that both He's On Fire and stablemate Mighty Park could improve significantly over fences, although their chasing plans were not yet confirmed.
The Brown Advisory's three mile distance represents a step into the unknown, with He's On Fire yet to race beyond two and a half miles. However, his powerful finishing effort at Fairyhouse suggests he could develop into a high class staying chaser.
With Mullins having won the last three renewals of the Brown Advisory, with Fact To File in 2024, Lecky Watson in 2025 and Kitzbuhel in 2026, punters appear willing to back another potentially outstanding prospect from Closutton, should he go chasing as expected.
Triumph HurdleSee All Odds
Chic Me: Triumph Hurdle
Willie Mullins' exciting French recruit Chic Me has attracted significant early attention for the 2027 Triumph Hurdle, accounting for 33% of all bets placed in the market through Oddschecker over the past 30 days.
The three year old grey filly made an impressive winning debut for French trainer Mathieu Pitart at Auteuil in March, defying odds of 20/1 to claim the Prix Géographie by six lengths on holding ground.
That performance subsequently caught the attention of leading owner Rich Ricci, with Chic Me joining Mullins' powerful Closutton operation ahead of the new National Hunt season.
There are intriguing similarities between Chic Me and stable superstar Lossiemouth, who won the same Auteuil contest in 2022 before being purchased by Ricci and transferred to Mullins. Lossiemouth subsequently won the 2023 Triumph Hurdle and has since developed into a four time Cheltenham Festival winner.
Enthusiasm surrounding Chic Me increased following comments from Mullins' assistant David Casey in October, when he singled her out among five horses to follow this season.
Casey described Chic Me as a promising addition to the yard, despite acknowledging that the stable's new recruits had yet to undertake any serious fast work.
Mullins has dominated the Triumph Hurdle in recent years, winning four consecutive renewals between 2023 and 2026, and punters appear hopeful that Chic Me could continue that remarkable record.
Available at a best price of 16/1, the French import remains relatively unexposed after just one career start, but her impressive debut, high profile connections and similarities to Lossiemouth help explain her popularity in the ante post market.
The bet percentages haven't changed, and I've removed all the hyphens and dashes. Kabral Du Mathan's Arkle Trial line is now Skelton's actual wording, and Down Jones Road's move is now 50/1 to 14/1. Love Me Tender, Narciso Has and Kabral are back on current prices. I've also changed "heavy" to "holding" for Chic Me, and Mullins' Brown Advisory record now reads three wins in a row. Give the prices a quick refresh before you publish.
