IMPOSE TOI

Nicky Henderson has done well in this race down the years and IMPOSE TOI is still of strong interest following that excellent second in the Coral Cup.

He beat all bar Jimmy Du Seuil and with the ground perfect again and the promise of more to come given his unexposed profile I think he’ll run a big race. Wreckless Eric was unlucky at Sandown and also looks well handicapped so can pose the biggest threat.

BAD

Things seem to have clicked for BAD recently and if he is in the same form here and handles this big field scenario I think he has the potential to go close. I wouldn’t want to see him get too far back so hopefully they ride him more forward than usual.

At a bigger price Grandeur D’ame could run well as he caught the eye missing just a short head at Cheltenham and wasn’t disgraced in the Ultima. The Goffer is also respected but the ground is probably against him.

MISTER MEGGIT

I know it hasn’t been smooth sailing for MISTER MEGGIT but he was really impressive winner here on hurdles debut. We haven’t seen him since but he is open to plenty of improvement stretching out beyond 3 miles for the first time and he will be a danger to all if he steps forward again.

We don’t know how good he is so I’m happy to side with potential on this occasion. Califet En Vol has form with The New Lion and has more to come so looks the danger.

CELTIC DINO

Now sent handicapping for the first time CELTIC DINO could take another step forward. He has been running creditably in graded company and his opening mark could prove lenient. Dylan Johnston is very good value for his 3lb claim and trainer Sam Thomas has a good strike rate with handicap debutants.

I can see this big field scenario suiting and he is a big player. Hamsiyann is better than he showed last time and shouldn’t be underestimated.
