Minnesota Twins Rumors: Carlos Correa Given 60% Chance of Returning to Minnesota
Minnesota Twins Rumors: Carlos Correa Given x% Chance of Returning to Minnesota
Carlos Correa is one of the most intriguing names on the market. A star shortstop who has struggled to cash in as his peers have. Well, if the books are to be believed, Correa could end up back with a mid-market team, as the Twins are the favorites to re-sign their top free agent.
The Twins are given -150 odds to retain Correa, that’s an implied 60% chance. The San Francisco Giants are right behind them though, as they’re given EVEN odds, an implied 50% chance, to land the star shortstop after a report from former MLB star Carlos Baerga.
Other teams on the market include the Dodgers, +400, and the Cubs, +550. However, it appears that both teams have positioned themselves to make a run at other shortstops on the market. The Cubs are the favorites to land Dansby Swanson and the Dodgers are the second favorites to land Xander Bogaerts.
The Correa battle is down to the Giants and Twins. That means Aaron Judge’s decision could play a huge role. The star outfielder is returning to the Yankees, which means the Giants could make an even larger push to sign Correa and ensure they land at least one star this offseason. As of this writing, the Giants were favored to land Judge before he resigned, which could be why Minnesota had a slight edge.
