Earlier this week, we took a look at how the public was betting the 93rd Academy Awards and the odds for each of the big Oscars up for grabs on Sunday. Well, with the award show set for tonight, it's time to revisit those numbers and look at how certain markets are trending.
Many Oscars odds have stayed the same, but a couple of important ones have shifted substantially. What does that mean for your betting? Does it change how I'm going to bet on the Oscars? I break it all down here.

Oscars Odds - Best Picture Prediction
Nomadland is still likely to win this, but it's interesting to see that their odds have drifted as we get closer to start time. Earlier this week, their best odds were -600 and as short as -670 at some places. Now, the film is down to -590. Something to watch as we approach the show.

Oscars Odds: Best Actor Prediction
Best Actor is another Oscars category where we're seeing a ton of movement at the top. Chadwick Boseman was -1600 on Thursday and he's now -1000. Also interesting to note is Anthony Hopkins has 10% more of the betting public backing him now than he did earlier in the week. I still like Boseman to win, but it's getting interesting.

Oscars Odds: Best Actress Prediction
There is a lot of talk about this being a two-horse race now and it apparently doesn't involve the favorite. Analysts are talking like this is a toss up between Viola Davis and Frances McDormand. I have always believed that Davis will win Best Actress this year, so I'm sticking with it.

We could save everyone some time and just give this award to Daniel Kaluuya before te show starts. Oddsmakers and bettors are in agreement that he's taking home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, so I'm following that trend.

Youn Yuh-Jung was fantastic in Minari. Earlier in the week I thought Maria Bakalova could pull off the upset. But, as we've gotten close to the 93rd Academy Awards, Yuh-Jung's odds have gome from -300 to -500 to win Best Supporting Actress. So, she's the clear pick now.

I'm changing my pick here. Earlier in the week I went with the favorite Nomadland to win Best Adapted Screenplay. But, the bettors have to know something here that I don't. The Father owns the highest percentage of bets in any category to this point and it isn't even the favorite. Let's take The Father.

Soul is going to win this. But, the trends have been interesting lately. Still, I think that has more to do with Soul's terrible price than anything. We're sticking with Soul.
