Fantasy Football Buy Low, Sell High: 12 Trade Candidates Ahead of Week 2
Fantasy Football Buy Low, Sell High: 12 Trade Candidates Ahead of Week 2
If you're dealing with some injuries and need to find buy-low players to help you win your Week 2 fantasy matchup, you've come to the right place. On the other hand, if you have a player with sky-high value sitting on your bench, you've also come to the right place. Here are 12 trade candidates ahead of Week 2.
Fantasy Football Players to Buy Low in Week 2
Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Arizona Cardinals
Marvin Harrison Jr. made his NFL debut on Sunday and recorded just one catch on three targets for four yards. Harrison Jr. was the first wide receiver selected off the board but didn't have the impact that Cardinals fans hoped for in Week 1. It'll only go up from here for Harrison Jr. The Cardinals will look for better ways to get him the ball in Week 2 against the Rams.
Mark Andrews, TE, Baltimore Ravens
Mark Andrews was double-teamed often when he was on the field against the Chiefs in Week 1. Meanwhile, Isaiah Likely dominated in the Ravens offense and put up career numbers. Andrews has a massive track record. Don't get it twisted. He'll be a top-five tight end by the end of the year.
D'Andre Swift, RB, Chicago Bears
D'Andre Swift saw 70% of snaps and added ten attempts for 30 yards. Swift didn't get a fair opportunity in Week 1 against the Titans. Ultimately, the offense didn't do much to deserve the win. It was the defense that helped the Bears win. The Bears offense will eventually improve behind Caleb Williams, and when games are closer, Swift will watch his numbers spike.
D.J. Moore, WR, Chicago Bears
D.J. Moore only caught five passes for 36 yards in Week 1. But he was also used in the run game and saw 88% of snaps. With Rome Odunze already hurt, Moore's target share should increase.
Additional Fantasy Football Buy Low Players
- Dalton Kincaid, TE, Buffalo Bills
- Joe Burrow, QB, Cincinnati Bengals
Fantasy Football Players to Sell High Before Week 2
Jordan Mason, RB, San Francisco 49ers
It's a mystery how long Christian McCaffrey will be out for. But Mason's value is likely the highest it'll ever be this year. If you get the right offer and believe it helps your team down the line, sell Mason.
Is Jordan Mason the real deal or is it time to fade the Week-1 darling?
Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, New England Patriots
Rhamondre Stevenson and the Patriots had a day on Sunday, earning a victory against the Bengals. Stevenson recorded 25 rushing attempts for 120 yards and caught three passes for six yards. He also had one touchdown and played 78% of snaps. However, the Patriots were always expected to be one of the bottom teams in the NFL. That won't change after a Week 1 upset against the Bengals. Chase's holdout was distracting, and Higgins' injury didn't help. I'd get rid of Stevenson if the package is right.
Green Bay Receivers
With Jordan Love injured, the Packers will rely on Malik Willis for the foreseeable future. You'll want to consider trading Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, and Christian Watson. Willis had two seasons to figure it out in Tennessee and was released before the third season. The Packers picked him up, and now he's starting in front of Jordan Love, who hurt his MCL. That hurts all of the Packers' receivers.
Malik Willis, QB, Green Bay Packers
That said, Malik Willis now has some value as the Green Bay Packers' starting quarterback. While I'm not a believer, some fantasy owners are. After all, he'll play alongside a much better support cast and likely have better plays called for him to succeed in Green Bay. Will Stefon Diggs' receiving production reduce in 2024 after his move to Houston? Well, FanDuel is the place to bet on Diggs under props right now! If someone desperately wants Willis and the trade is right, you don't need to hold onto Willis. He projects worse than Bryce Young heading into Week 2.
Additional Fantasy Football Sell High Players
- Brandin Cooks, WR, Dallas Cowboys
- Matthew Stafford, QB, Los Angeles Rams
