2023 Heisman Odds
The Favorite: Caleb Williams (+400) (Bet $100 to collect $500)
Caleb Williams won the Heisman last year. Many times, voters become biased and don't like selecting the same player to win the award again.
Williams threw for 4,537 yards last season and completed 66.6% of passes with 42 touchdowns and just five interceptions.
This year, he's already thrown for 878 yards with 12 touchdowns and no interceptions.
However, he's faced San Jose State, Nevada, and Stanford. He hasn't had a big game or moment yet. However, the Pac-12 got much more intriguing this year. He'll have to face Colorado in a potential shootout in a few weeks.
Williams looks incredible to start the season. He's the clear favorite.
The Sleeper: Quinn Ewers (+1000) (Bet $100 to collect $1,100)
Quinn Ewers helped Texas score 34 points in a 34-24 win over Alabama.
Ewers is getting some action for the Heisman now.
He's thrown for 609 yards in two games as a sophomore. 350 of those yards came against Alabama, where he completed 63.2% of passes and threw three touchdowns with no interceptions.
Ewers' quarterback rating was 166.4, and he also ran three times for 11 yards while never getting sacked.
If the Longhorns' pass protection remains this good, Ewers will thrive all season long. He already has his signature win.
Heavily Bet: Shedeur Sanders (+2000) (Bet $100 to collect $2,100)
Nobody knew what to expect out of Colorado this year. However, expectations have changed very quickly.
Shedeur Sanders has thrown over 900 yards in two games, including wins over TCU and Nebraska. For example, he's been challenged more than Caleb Williams and has thrown six touchdowns with no interceptions.
Sanders has been sacked 11 times in those two games. That needs to be cleaned up. If he continues to get sacked or have little time in the pocket, things won't work out against USC and other quality Pac-12 teams.
But for now. Sanders looks like a top-ten quarterback in college football. The public has taken note and bet him down to +2000 already.
