NFL Draft Odds: Bryce Young the Heavy Favorite to go First Overall in 2023

The Chicago Bears have a tough decision on their hands. Do they stay the course with Justin Fields, or do they look to go with the top QB in the 2023 draft? Well, the sportsbooks believe that Young is almost certain to go #1 overall at this point. Will that be to the Bears?

Young is given -125 odds, or an implied 55.6% chance to be the first pick in the draft. After him is CJ Stroud who’s given +210 odds, or an implied 32.3% chance. Will Anderson is given the best odds of any non-QB to go first overall, and he’s given +750 odds, or an implied 11.8% chance.

Will Bryce Young be the First Overall Pick in the NFL Draft?

Perhaps the best sign that sportsbooks believe that the pick will be traded though is who’s not on a betting market. There is currently no market for Justin Fields’ next team, which would be certain if he was expected to hit the market this offseason. For example, Derek Carr, Tom Brady, and Aaron Rodgers all have markets on where they’ll be next season. Since Fields don’t have a market, that’s a pretty clear signal that the books don’t believe there’s a real chance the Bears won’t pick first overall. So who will?

  3. Three Bucs vs Cowboys First TD Plays at +750 or higher

The sportsbooks have a clear understanding of the market. To them, Bryce Young is going first overall and Justin Fields isn’t getting traded, which means the pick is on the move. If the Bears do look to trade the first pick, it becomes all about who could move up to get the top QB in the 2023 draft. Plenty of teams who could do it, teams who miss out on Derek Carr stand out. Currently, the Jets, +250, and Colts, +325, are the favorites there. Could the Raiders, Panthers, or Commanders make the jump?
