Top 25 2023 NFL Free Agent Predictions
1. QB Lamar Jackson - Baltimore Ravens
Ultimately, you can expect Lamar Jackson to stay put in Baltimore. It's unlikely that the Ravens and Jackson will agree to a long-term deal, but Jackson will likely stay put on a franchise tag.
Unless the Ravens get a big package in return in a sign-and-trade deal, Jackson will stay put in Baltimore.
2. QB Geno Smith - Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks are comfortable with Geno Smith at quarterback moving forward. The Seahawks like that he won't be asking for top-tier money. That would help Seattle build around Smith and build a contender.
3. DT Javon Hargrave - Las Vegas Raiders
Hargrave could also end up in Chicago. But it feels like the Raiders could end up with Aaron Rodgers. If that's the case, you'd expect the Raiders to be all-in for the next few seasons. Hargrave would be an intriguing piece to Las Vegas' defense.
4. RB Josh Jacobs - Las Vegas Raiders
Jacobs was a major surprise last season. But the Raiders still declined his fifth-year option. They can extend or put a franchise tag on him for multiple years. Either way, I like Jacobs' chances of staying in Las Vegas.
5. LB Bobby Wagner - Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals need to improve defensively to make the Super Bowl next season. There's no better player to add than Bobby Wagner at linebacker.
6. RB Saquon Barkley - New York Giants
I've heard all the rumors, just like you. Barkley is likely asking for a lot. But the Giants know they'll need to keep Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley to keep the New York faithful hyped about this team.
Barkley will end up returning on a multi-year deal.
7. QB Daniel Jones - New York Giants
The same thing as above. Daniel Jones is not leaving.
8. QB Derek Carr - New York Jets
The Jets and Derek Carr had an entire weekend-long meet-up in New Jersey. Rumors have it that the weekend went very well and that the Jets are interested in bringing in Carr. If Rodgers goes to the Raiders, the Jets will do whatever they can to bring Carr to New Jersey.
9. S Jamel Dean - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Dean could get a franchise tag from the Buccaneers in the offseason. It seems likely he'd be the candidate the Buccaneers choose in that spot.
But if not, the Cardinals could be the destination.
10. LB Lavonte David - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
David wants to finish his career with the Buccaneers. Expect David and Tampa Bay to figure something out shortly. Plus, with Bobby Wagner on the market, one less team will be in on David.

11. S Jessie Bates III - Atlanta Falcons
Reports have stated that Bates is "as good as gone" from the Cincinnati Bengals. The Falcons are in the market for a safety like Bates and would be the perfect fit.
But don't expect Bates back in Cincinnati.
12. WR Jakobi Meyers - Houston Texans
Meyers fits the Texans the most right now. But if the Texans add a top receiver in the NFL Draft, that could change.
I'll stick with my gut and say Meyers goes to Houston.
13. OT Orlando Brown Jr. - Kansas City Chiefs
Orlando Brown will likely be franchised tagged with the Chiefs for the second straight season.
14. DL Daron Payne - Washington Commanders
Payne should eventually be franchise tagged by the Commanders.
15. CB James Bradberry - Arizona Cardinals
Bradberry is going to get paid. He also wants to be on a roster that can compete. Arizona's roster underperformed last year, but the Cardinals certainly have talent that can compete on its roster.
16. DL Marcus Davenport - Houston Texans
The Texans need help defensively. Davenport had nine sacks in 2021 and would play under DeMeco Ryans in Houston. That should help develop him into a more consistent defensive lineman.
17. OT Mike McGlinchey - Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals need to protect Joe Burrow. When Burrow has time in the pocket, he's impossible to stop.
18. WR JuJu Smith-Schuster - Baltimore Ravens
Smith-Schuster runs his mouth and talks a lot. But he made a legitimate impact in the Super Bowl win against the Eagles. The Ravens need a wide receiver familiar with the AFC North. He could become a legitimate No. 1 weapon for the Ravens.
19. TE Dalton Schultz - Indianapolis Colts
It's looking more and more likely that Dalton Schultz will be leaving Dallas. The Colts might draft a rookie quarterback in this year's draft. They'd want to give him as many weapons as possible. Schultz would be a positive start.
20. LB Tremaine Edmunds - Denver Broncos
The Denver defense is one of the best in the NFL. Add 24-year-old Tremaine Edmonds, and you're talking.
21. WR Odell Beckham Jr. - Kansas City Chiefs
Someone's gotta replace JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Imagine Odell Beckham paired with Patrick Mahomes. Put in your Chiefs Super Bowl futures now.
22. TE Mike Gesicki - Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins never really used Gesicki the right way. But if they come to their senses, they'll bring him back and utilize him more, especially when Tua Tagovailoa is healthy.
23. S Jordan Poyer - Cleveland Browns
The Browns always have so much talent defensively. But for whatever reason, the team underperforms a whole lot defensively. Poyer would bring leadership to the Browns and help them achieve greatness.
24. QB Jimmy Garoppolo - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
I don't believe the Buccaneers are willing to start Kyle Trask next season. No chance.
25. WR Parris Campbell - New York Giants
Daniel Jones needs some legitimate receivers. Parris Campbell has always been inconsistent with the Colts, but if he gets legitimate playing time, he could produce like a star.
