The NFL Free Agency is always an exciting time of year.
With only four teams left in the NFL Playoffs, most teams are already preparing for next year's season.
Below, I'll share my predictions on where the top 10 NFL free agents will sign in the offseason.
NFL Free Agents 2024 - Free Agent Predictions
1. Tee Higgins (WR)
- Free Agency Prediction: Signs 4-Year Deal With Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars need another reliable pass catcher besides Christian Kirk and Calvin Ridley. Both receivers were a bit inconsistent down the stretch, and ultimately, the Jaguars didn't make the postseason after some really poor offensive stretches in the second half.
Tee Higgins is ready to take the next step. He caught passes from Trevor Lawrence in college playing at Clemson and would have terrific chemistry in Jacksonville.
The Burrow-Chase connection between Lawrence and Higgins would be similar.
2. Josh Allen (EDGE)
- Free Agency Prediction: Franchise Tagged by Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars enjoyed what they got out of Josh Allen this season. Allen played in all 17 games and added 66 total tackles with 17.5 sacks. He also forced two fumbles and earned an interception this season.
His 17.5 sacks were the most he had recorded in a season. Therefore, it's unlikely that the Jaguars will let him walk.
3. Jaylon Johnson (CB)
- Free Agency Prediction: Signs 5-Year Deal With Chicago Bears
The Bears are building something special in Chicago. They had an incredible second half and played tremendous defense behind Jaylon Johnson.
Johnson secured four interceptions and added ten pass deflections in a breakout season.
The Bears and Johnson failed to agree on a new deal last season. But it's hard to imagine the Bears passing on a 24-year-old with a ton of upside in the secondary.
4. Kirk Cousins (QB)
- Free Agency Prediction: Signs Three-Year Deal With Atlanta Falcons
What happens when Bill Belichick accepts the head coaching position in Atlanta?
The Falcons go after Kirk Cousins to throw passes to Drake London, Bijan Robinson, and Kyle Pitts.
5. Chris Jones (DL)
- Free Agency Prediction: Franchise Tagged by Kansas City Chiefs
Chris Jones will likely be the guy to get the franchise tagged by the Chiefs. That tag would be worth $32.4 million. So, I don't think he'll be complaining.
Jones earned 10.5 sacks and has helped transform the Kansas City defense into one of the best units this season.
6. Mike Evans (WR)
- Free Agency Prediction: Signs 4-Year Deal with Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers didn't know what to expect once Tom Brady left. But after Mike Evans caught 13 touchdown passes and added another 1,000 yards receiving during the regular season, I think it's safe to say that Evans will want to stay put in Tampa.
The Buccaneers have unfinished business after making it into the NFC Divisional Playoffs. As long as Baker Mayfield returns, Tampa won't want to let Mike Evans walk.
He's been one of the most consistent receivers in this era.

7. Antoine Winfield Jr. (S)
- Free Agency Prediction: Franchise Tagged by Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Antoine Winfield Jr. had one of the craziest snubs in this year's Pro Bowl. He finished with three interceptions, six forced fumbles, and added 12 pass deflections with 122 total tackles.
It's likely that the Buccaneers franchise tag Winfield Jr. I think he'll stay put.
8. Brian Burnes (EDGE)
- Free Agency Prediction: Franchise Tagged by Carolina Panthers
Brian Burnes is also likely going to get the franchise tag. Burnes finished the regular season with the Panthers, earning eight sacks and one forced fumble in 16 games. He took a step backward from last season.
However, the Panthers won't want to give up on Burnes at 25 years old. He's still got a lot of potential.
9. Baker Mayfield (QB)
- Free Agency Prediction: Signs 4-Year Deal with Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Don't forget that Baker Mayfield is still only 28 years old. Mayfield dragged the Buccaneers into the NFC Divisional Playoffs and even had the ball in the fourth quarter with the potential to tie up the game against the Lions.
The Buccaneers have unfinished business. There's no reason to pivot at quarterback. They need to sign Mayfield to a legitimate extension and build this Tampa Bay team into an even bigger contender next season.
10. Chase Young (EDGE)
- Free Agency Prediction: Signs 2-Year Deal with Tennessee Titans
Chase Young was traded from Washington to San Francisco at the NFL Trade Deadline. Still, in nine games for the Niners, he added just ten total tackles and 2.5 sacks. He hasn't put up ridiculous numbers. Ultimately, he finished with 7.5 sacks this season.
Young might be a tad overrated. However, the Tennessee Titans desperately need an edge rusher like Young. He would fit the Tennessee defense well. We don't know what the Tennessee staff will look like yet.
