Patrick Mahomes Super Bowl MVP Odds

Patrick Mahomes leads the pack at +400 odds, giving him a 20% implied chance of bringing home the award in a couple weeks. It makes sense, with Mahomes winning the Super Bowl MVP in back-to-back years during this Chiefs dynasty run. Kansas City is +350 win an unprecedented third-straight Super Bowl, so you get a tiny boost by taking Mahomes at +400 if you think he'll get it done.

Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson Super Bowl MVP Odds

If you're looking for the two dueling regular season MVP candidates, they are tied for second on the Super Bowl MVP odds board. Of course, they will play each other this weekend in Buffalo, with Lamar Jackson and the Ravens as the slightest favorite on the road. While only one can survive through this matchup, they both have +550 odds and a 15% chance of winning the award.

However, Josh Allen's +550 is equivalent to the Buffalo Bills Super Bowl odds, while Lamar Jackson is a boost at +550 compared to his team's +470 odds to win it all. If you wanted to take one based on value, that would be the difference between the two at this stage of the playoffs. Of course, Allen has little to no competition for one of his teammates taking the award, while Jackson has to deal with Derrick Henry (+2200) if he goes off.

Saquon Barkley Super Bowl MVP Odds

Saquon Barkley is the first name on the list of a non-quarterback, clocking in at +1200 odds and the sixth-best chance to win the MVP ahead of this weekend's divisional round. Barkley was in the running all year for the regular season MVP, before sitting in his final game and falling further behind. He wasn't going to win it over Lamar Jackson regardless, but he was certainly in the mix.

Barkley will win the NFL Offensive Player of the Year however, clocking in with over 2,000 regular season rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground. That award is typically for non-quarterbacks, and Barkley is easily the most deserving for his dominant resurgence in Philadelphia this season. He sits at -10000 odds to bring that one home when the awards are announced ahead of the Super Bowl.

As far as Super Bowl MVP is concerned, be careful with this one. +1200 may seem like a valuable choice compared to the Eagles +420 odds, but a running back hasn't won this award since Terrell Davis in Super Bowl 32, almost three decades ago. It's a quarterback's award, and he would have to beat out Jalen Hurts on his own team to bring this home. Regardless, bettors have been hammering this option in the early going, believing that Barkley is the most dominant player on the Eagles team and would be the main reason for their victory if given the chance to compete.

Other Non-Quarterback Super Bowl MVP Odds

Jahmyr Gibbs and Derrick Henry follow closely behind Barkley in this race so far, with +1700 and +2200 odds, respectively. Both are also behind their team's quarterbacks as mentioned above, with Lamar Jackson at +550 and Jared Goff at +600. It will be very hard to beat either of them out in the event of a strong offensive performance, but that's why the odds provide this opportunity. Both of these stars have enjoyed a sensational season and have been racking up touchdowns, so it's not out of the question that a multi-TD outing could steal this SB MVP award.

Outside of the top three running backs, Amon-Ra St. Brown is the first wide receiver in the group at +3500 odds. It's important to note that wide receivers have seemingly found more success than running backs lately, with two WR's winning in the last six years, and five times since a running back last won in 1997.

Right behind St. Brown is Travis Kelce at +4500, who would desperately like to win this before retiring. He hasn't played his best in the four Super Bowl appearances, scoring just twice and only eclipsing 100 yards in the one loss to the Bucs. It will be extremely hard for him to outshine Mahomes in any context.

Lastly, the first defensive player is Chris Jones at +12000 longshot odds. That's less than a 1% chance of winning, but there is a history of defenders taking this home. Von Miller won in Super Bowl 50 with a trio of sacks, and Ray Lewis earned the crown in 2001 by shutting down the Giants.
