2025 NFL Draft QB Rankings

1. Cam Ward

Cam Ward is easily the top quarterback in this year's NFL Draft class. He finished with 4,313 yards passing and added 39 touchdowns, leading the ACC in both categories in his final college football season with the Miami Hurricanes. He showed great accuracy and can make big plays with his strong arm. He's also a dual-threat quarterback with a lot of college football experience that will help his transition into the NFL be seamless.

That said, his decision-making can improve, and his footwork isn't the best. These are areas he'll work on when he's drafted into the NFL. Still, his potential is super high. He's the best quarterback in this class and will go first overall with a 99.5% chance on Thursday.

2. Jaxson Dart (+190 To Be Second Quarterback Selected)

Jaxson Dart has gained momentum to be the first quarterback taken after Cam Ward. The Ole Miss Rebel threw for 4,279 yards and 29 touchdowns. He also threw just six interceptions while playing against mostly SEC teams.

Dart also finished with an 86.3 QBR and improved year after year with his three seasons at Ole Miss. In addition, Dart threw at least 358 passing attempts in all three seasons with the Rebels. His experience will certainly help.

Plus, while he's got a strong arm, he's also very athletic. Many also believe he was a terrific leader during his time at Ole Miss.

Personally, I've got Dart ahead of Shedeur Sanders in my power rankings. However, that doesn't mean he'll go before Sheuder in the NFL Draft. In fact, the odds believe Sanders is more likely to be the first quarterback drafted after Ward.

3. Shedeur Sanders (-250 To Be Second Quarterback Selected)

There's no denying what Shedeur Sanders did during his time in college. He helped turn around two programs, including Jackson State and the University of Colorado. He put both teams on the map and helped those programs earn sustained success.

But his antics won't fly in the NFL. Some are turned off by the way he's too nonchalant or the fact that he takes too many sacks to preserve his numbers. In addition, he's thrown his teammates under the bus instead of taking responsibility for some plays. That's not ideal.

Still, Sanders has a ton of talent. He completed nearly 72% of his passes and added 64 passing touchdowns during his time with Jackson State and Colorado. If he drops to the third quarterback taken, one team will get very good value with a player who has a very high ceiling.

4. Jalen Milroe (+700 To Be Second Quarterback Selected)

The former Alabama quarterback could be drafted late in the first round or potentially in the early portion of the second round. Milroe is a playmaker, but he's also erratic and sometimes makes really poor decisions. After all, he's had his moments where he's been benched for his play.

Still, he's another dual-threat quarterback with a whole lot of potential. With the right team and proper development, Milroe could become a star in the NFL.

5. Tyler Shough (+1000 To Be Second Quarterback Selected)

Tyler Shough is rising the draft boards. However, his age is a concern. If he doesn't start right away, he'll already be past his prime. After all, Shough is already 25 years old and doesn't have time to develop like some of the other quarterbacks.

However, some teams will overlook that, given Shough's size. He's 6' 5" and 220 lbs, and he has legitimate athleticism.

If it weren't for his age and injury history, he'd be a top-three quarterback.
