It’s finally here! We’re hours away from the NFL draft and it’s time for my final mock draft.

2025 NFL Mock Draft Round 1 Picks

Pick 1: Cam Ward – Miami, QB – Tennessee Titans

Ward as the first overall pick is a foregone conclusion at this point. While the Titans appeared to entertain other options, they’re in a prime position to draft a high upside quarterback to help stabilize their franchise. The Titans invested heavily in their offensive line this offseason, they have a WR1 in contract and a solid running back room. Ward is simply the final piece.

Pick 2: Travis Hunter – Colorado, CB – Cleveland Browns

The Browns are reportedly taking trade calls, but will likely stay at this pick. While quarterback is a position of need, drafting Sanders is highly unlikely here. With Myles Garrett’s contract extension, Carter’s odds have dropped here and the Browns appear locked in on Hunter. Hunter fills a clear position of need at receiver and allows flexibility on defense.

Pick 3: Shedeur Sanders – Colorado, QB – New York Giants

I’m sticking to my guns here. The Giants’ front office seems torn on this pick and most mocks are leaning towards Carter. Sanders odds continue to shift with the Giants, Saints and Steelers all on the table. Opinions on Sanders are varying, but one thing is clear - Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen will get fired if this season is another failure. Sanders may not be their ideal prospect, but if he hits, he would save jobs. Starting Russell WIlson or Jameis Winston is asking to get fired…expeditiously

Pick 4: Abdul Carter – Penn State, EDGE – New England Patriots

My ideal pick in previous mocks was Hunter here. With Hunter off the board, Mike Vrabel can’t pass on Carter if he drops. The Patriots invested heavily on defense and do have a need at offensive line. However, Carter’s talent simply can’t be passed here. If the Giants don’t draft Sanders and take Carter, Will Campbell would be the clear pick.

Pick 5: Mason Graham – Michigan, DI – Jacksonville Jaguars

I truly want to see receiver as the pick here, but my 3.0 draft was over a month ago and opinions on the receiving class have changed since then. The Jags will likely lean best available on defense and Graham the perfect fit to reinforce their interior. There are rumors that Ashton Jeanty is a target here, and while that does make sense as the Jags reduced Travis Etienne’s role last season, defense is the more pressing need and running back can be addressed on Day 2.

Pick 6: Ashton Jeanty – Boise State, RB – Las Vegas Raiders

General consensus is split between the best available offensive lineman and Jeanty. The Raiders’ line could use an upgrade, but isn’t in a dire position. They can afford to reach for the potentially elite playmaker in Jeanty and reinforce the line on Day 2.

Pick 7: Will Campbell – LSU, T – New York Jets

Mason Graham was my previous pick here. If the Jets are sniped by the Jags, grabbing Campbell is a no-brainer. Their line is in desperate need of high-upside youth and strengthening the line for Justin Fields is an excellent move.

Pick 8: Jalon Walker – Georgia, EDGE – Carolina Panthers

Defense is still the most critical pick here for the Panthers. Considering their youth and defensive struggles, I peg the Panthers as drafting more for ceiling rather than a safety pick. Walker is a strong ceiling pick and a franchise-type player the Panthers can build their defensive identity around.

Pick 9: Jahdae Barron – Texas, CB – New Orleans Saints

We’re still not 100% sold on which direction the Saints are leaning. Derek Carr’s injury mkaes quarterback a pressing concern. They have a clear positional need at corner. They could also use an additional pass catcher. Barron has one of the widest ranges of landing spots from draft analysts because he’s incredibly versatile. While new head coach Kellen Moore would love to start off with a top 10 offensive playmaker, Barron is a strong ceiling pick.

Pick 10: Armand Membou – Missouri, T – Chicago Bears

The Bears are a fun pick at 10 because they don’t have any extremely pressing needs and offer a wide range of outcomes, depending on how the early picks play out. I still believe they draft the best available offensive lineman here. They invested aggressively at offensive line in free agency, but as I mentioned in the 3.0 mock, investments in older veteran linemen can go sideways real quick. Membou is a potential steal here.

Pick 11: Kelvin Banks Jr. – Texas, T – San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers are likely another best available team and there’s strong consensus that the gap between the top three offensive linemen and the rest of the field is very sharp. If Banks Jr. is available, the 49ers likely jump at the pick. Corner is very tempting here but there should be ample solid Day 2 talent available.

Pick 12: Tetairoa McMillan – Arizona, WR – Dallas Cowboys

There’s simply very small odds of Jeanty reaching the Cowboys and top linemen will be off the board. Receiver is the likely pick here and McMillan is a solid fit opposite of CeeDee Lamb. The Cowboys are a potential candidate to trade back as well.

Pick 13: Derrick Harmon – Oregon, DI – Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are tough to predict because they need a little bit of everything and are in an awkward draft position. The top three linemen will likely be gone, they’ll likely lean towards defense. Corner is a potential here with Jalen Ramsey drama and my previous mock was safety, but the difference between safety at Pick 13 and a second round option might be a bit neglibile. Harmon would be a strong addition to the interior defense, a defense that was torn apart in 2024.

Pick 14: Tyler Warren – Penn State, TE – Indianapolis Colts

No changes here from the 3.0 mock. The Colts made big additions on defense in free agency with Cam Bynum and Charvarius Ward. They have a solid receiving corps, but Warren could be a truly difference making here, regardless of the quarterback situation. The Colts have flopped at tight end and can finally make an elite investment.

Pick 15: Mike Green – Marshall, EDGE – Atlanta Falcons

Edge is still the clear pick here the Falcons. There’s a wide range of options and while it’s possible the Falcons lean towards a local pick with Georgia’s Mykel Williams, Williams’ 2024 health issues give Green the slight edge here.

Pick 16: Will Johnson – Michigan, CB – Arizona Cardinals

My lean here was towards offensive line but if Johnson drops, the Cardinals would be hard pressed to pass up Johnson if he falls here. The Cardinals’ defense made strides in the second half of the season and made a signficant investment on the line with Josh Sweat. Adding Johnson would solidify their unit for 2025.

Pick 17: Mykel Williams – Georgia, EDGE – Cincinnati Bengals

Trey Hendrickson and the Bengals are still at odds and edge remains the clear pick here. Even if the Bengals do manage to make it work with Hendrickson, their defense was still a complete disaster in 2024 and needs signfiicant additions across the board. Williams is a strong ceiling pick can pay off dividends for a team that must make drastic changes defensively.

Pick 18: Grey Zabel – North Dakota State, T – Seattle Seahawks

Seattle’s pick has teetered back and forth with offseason changes and solidifying the line is a solid move here. Seattle has often drafted best available and there are solid defensive options here. However, Sam Darnold at quarterback requires a strong offensive line. When Darnold is protected with ample weapons, he can thrive.

Pick 19: Jihaad Campbell – Alabama, LB – Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs’ offense thrived in 2024, and they had to with their defense being one of the worst in the league. The pieces exist to succeed but they need a young centerpiece and Campbell fits the build. He’s also a potential steal here. A 2024 injury hurt his stock, but he’s on track for training camp and could still make an early impact for Tampa.

Pick 20: Omarion Hampton – North Carolina, RB  – Denver Broncos

An additional receiver for Bo Nix will truly take this offense to the next level, but…I think they can get their best fit receiver in the second round. The Broncos are young and in an excellent position to draft Hampton. Round 1 running backs are often controversial but hitting on the right prospect can pay dividends. Sean Payton does love a committee but the Broncos backfield lacks size and Hampton is a strong move.

Pick 21: – Jaxson Dart – Ole Miss, QB – Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are currently being held hostage but Aaron Rodgers and have become a very popular pick to draft a first round quarterback. There’s some smoke around potentially trading up if Sanders falls. Is Dart a true first round pick? Probably not. However, the Steelers need a quarterback and can’t rely on the unreliable. It’s risky to wait until the second to draft Dart. Arthur Smith showed excellent flexibility in adjusting to put his quarterbacks in the best position last season and he could do well with Dart.

Pick 22: Colston Loveland – Michigan, TE – Los Angeles Chargers

This pick ultimately depends on the Jets passing on tight end. If Loveland is available, he’s the ideal fit for the Chargers. Quentin Johnston did show improvement in 2024, but the Chargers need a more reliable receiving option opposite Ladd McConkey.

Pick 23: Matthew Golden – Texas, WR – Green Bay Packers

The Packers don’t draft receivers in the first round - as a Packers’ fan I am painfully aware - but they appear to have hit a ceiling with the second-round receiver strategy. The receiving corps is overall solid but needs a true alpha with all the reliabiility and intangibles in one complete package. If Golden falls, it’s tough to pass up this value. My previous mock had him going to the Cowboys and if the Jags pass up on McMillan, the cascading effect is Golden dropping as a potential late-round steal.

Pick 24: Nick Emmanwori – South Carolina, S – Minnesota Vikings

My previous mock had Josh Conerly Jr. and while I still think that’s a possibility, Emmanwori is a strong value pick for a clear position of neeed here. The Vikings lost Cam Bynum in free agency and Emmanwori would be an immediate replacement.

Pick 25: Josh Simmons – Ohio State, T – Houston Texans

No changes here for the Texans. They are bound to draft an offensive lineman here after gutting their line for a fresh start. If injury weren’t an issue, Simmons could’ve been the top tackle in this class. The Texans felt very close to a Super Bowl contender, but injuries were crippling and they are still very young and in a position to be patient if Simmons needs additional time.

Pick 26: Trey Amos – Mississippi, CB – Los Angeles Rams

The Rams are still pushing for a Super Bowl with Stafford’s contract adjustments and while an additional offensive lineman would solidify the line for the future, it’s not the Super Bowl type of difference maker in terms of their team needs. The Rams’ struck gold with their defensive picks last season and upgrading the secondary is the last key piece to a potentially elite group.

Pick 27: Tyler Booker – Alabama, G – Baltimore Ravens

It’s very possible Booker goes earlier as the clear top guard with multiple teams having a glaring need at the position. If Booker is available at this pick, he would be an excellent addition and value pick to reinforce their line.

Pick 28: Josh Conerly Jr. – Oregon, T – Detroit Lions

Grey Zabel was my original pick here because he simply screams Lions, but Zabel’s stock has been on the rise and he could be sniped earlier. Investment in the line is still a solid move here. The strength of the offensive is their line and it is absolutely critical for the success of Jared Goff and the run game. Conerly offers excellent versatility for the Lions.

Pick 29: Shemar Stewart – Texas A&M, EDGE – Washington Commanders

The Commanders are solid all around and made significant investments at multiple positions this offseason with Deebo Samuel, Laremy Tunsil and Javon Kinlaw. There is versatility in this pick and this is an excellent spot to target the edge. Stewart is a player that can be developed into a potentially game-changing talent in the right system and Washington is an excellent fit.

Pick 30: Walter Nolen – Mississippi, DI – Buffalo Bills

I’ve been very consistent in this pick throughout the offseason mock drafts and an interior defensive lineman. Nolen could go a bit higher, but the Bills are a perfect fit for the Bills’ new-look defense with some losses in free agency and the addition of Joey Bosa.

Can another DL addition help carry the Bills to the Super Bowl after grabbing Joey Bosa? Check out the latest Super Bowl 60 odds

Pick 31: Kenneth Grant – Michigan, DI – Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs are a potential trade candidate here because multiple second round picks would be more beneficial to address their needs at offensive line and in the secondary. If they take the pick here, it leans best available and Grant is a solid first-round talent with room to develop.

Pick 32: James Pearce Jr. – Tennessee, EDGE – Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles wouldn’t be the Eagles if they didn’t buy the dip on a player being much maligned who inevitably ends up being a ridiculous steal that pays dividends. Pearce Ju. was an top 10 lock before concerns around character issues popped up and some odd Combine metrics. If this offseason didn’t exist, Pearce would be long gone at this spot. Edge is a clear position of need with the loss of Josh Sweat and Brandon Graham.
