5 minTravis Hunter Prop Bets: 2025 NFL Rookie of the Year Odds and Two-Way Props
It's been an incredible last year for Travis Hunter.
The former Colorado two-way, Heisman winner, was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the No. 2 overall pick in this year's NFL Draft.
Hunter caught 96 passes for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns as a receiver for the Colorado Buffaloes. Meanwhile, he also added four interceptions, a forced fumble, and 11 pass deflections as a cornerback for Colorado.
Those stats awarded him the most recent Heisman Award.
Hunter was injured multiple times during his career with Colorado, but he confirmed that he wants to play both positions in the NFL. It's hard to imagine any player could play snaps on both sides of the ball and make an impact at a high level in the NFL. But Hunter wants to be the first.
It's hard to know exactly how the Jaguars plan to use Hunter at this time, but I'd like to believe they will slowly integrate him on both sides of the ball. By the time the season begins, Hunter likely won't be ready to perform at an elite level on offense and defense.
If that's the case, should we fade Travis Hunter heading into the 2025 season?

Travis Hunter Prop Bets
Travis Hunter to record 1000+ Regular Season Receiving Yards (+230)
Brian Thomas added 1,282 yards receiving on 87 catches, while averaging 14.7 yards per catch last season with the Jaguars. Thomas was more of a deep-ball threat than Hunter. Hunter is better at earning yards after the catch. But it's probably unlikely he can deke out NFL players the way he did to Big 12 players.
Meanwhile, last year, Malik Nabers caught 109 passes to earn 1,204 receiving yards with the New York Giants as a rookie. Nabers was 5th in the NFL in receptions and 7th in the NFL in receiving yards as a rookie with the New York Giants and still came close to missing the 1K mark.
If Hunter puts all of his effort into just receiving, then he'll come close. But if he wants to play both sides of the ball, it's unlikely he'll have the stamina or strength to put up ridiculous numbers on either side of the ball in his rookie season. I would not take this bet.
Travis Hunter to Record 5+ Regular Season Offensive Touchdowns & 1+ Defensive Touchdown (+1500)
Again, we don't even know what the Jaguars plan to do with Travis Hunter. We know he wants to play both sides of the ball, but the Jaguars could gradually give him defensive reps in practice and not start him on defense at all this season.
That said, out of all the draft specials, if you REALLY want to take one and want to be a degenerate, this is probably the one to go to. Hunter is an elite athlete and should find the end zone offensively at a solid rate as long as he's healthy and plays a healthy number of reps. The Jaguars didn't trade for Hunter to keep him on the bench and not utilize him. Meanwhile, one defensive touchdown will be hard to come by, but Hunter has a knack for finding the endzone on both sides of the ball. This would be my favorite bet of the specials listed on FanDuel.
Travis Hunter to win Offensive & Defensive Rookie of the Year (+5000)
Travis Hunter is an elite ball player who won a Heisman Award for playing both sides of the ball at Colorado last season. But it's going to be different for Hunter in the NFL. He'll have to get himself acclimated on both sides of the ball.
He'll also need to study both sides, practice on both sides, and watch film on both sides. When will Travis Hunter sleep?
It's hard to ask Hunter to perform at a high level on both offense and defense in his rookie season. It's never been done before and likely won't be done this year. Don't bother with this bet.
