New England Patriots 2025 Super Bowl Odds, Win Totals, Playoff Futures, Props and Best Bets

The New England Patriots enter the 2025 season with a refreshed outlook, a doubled win total, and a solid chance at the playoffs. Most of that can be attributed to a weaker schedule, but also the addition of Mike Vrabel as their new head coach.

Vrabel was a star player in New England for many years, and after the Tennessee Titans decided to get rid of him a few years ago, the chance to take over in Foxborough was a dream pairing. We'll see more of the Patriots in their final preseason matchup with the New York Giants on Thursday night, and then it'll be on to the last roster cuts as they prepare the depth chart.

Can this new outlook propel the storied New England Patriots back to the playoffs and fighting for supremacy? They aren't quite ready to snatch the AFC East away from the Buffalo Bills, but they can certainly make some noise in 2025. Let's take a look at these season futures, win totals, playoff chances, and other props for the Patriots.

New England Patriots 2024 Season Recap

New England Patriots Super Bowl Odds

The New England Patriots probably aren't going to contend for their sixth Super Bowl, even with another major step forward from Drake Maye. Their best odds are currently +8500 on FanDuel Sportsbook, just a 1.2% chance.

While every team wants to win it all, the Pats are more focused on improving in 2025. They have a new coach to continue building on the refreshed young offense, and a playoff appearance would definitely be a win for the organization after a few years of struggle with the Bill Belichick - Tom Brady era coming to a close.

New England Patriots Win Total Odds

The Patriots had a weak win total of 4.5 last year, and still didn't get over the number at four wins when it was all said and done. But 2025 is a different story, and a head coach with proven success is back in Foxborough.

Mike Vrabel and the Pats are getting a doubled-up 8.5 win total this year, and if they get over that number, there's a strong chance of their first playoff appearance since the 2021-22 season. They start the season off with the Raiders, Dolphins, Steelers, and Panthers in the month of September, with three of the four at home. They should be able to gather three wins in that grouping, setting up them for a successful season if so.

The Pats will definitely need to step up their 22nd-ranked defense from a year ago, one of Vrabel's specialties. He will also need to advance the run game, with Rhamondre Stevenson not quite getting it done for large portions of last season. Enter Treveyon Henderson, a rookie out of Ohio State with the makings of a workhorse back. He's already scored several times in the preseason, and should be taking over as the prime back any day now.

New England Patriots Odds To Make the Playoffs

Despite a vastly increased win total, the Patriots will still have a tough time trying to make the playoffs. 8.5 wins in the AFC doesn't go as far as it does in the NFC these days, and there will be a decent amount of squads on this bubble with 8-10 wins.

However, the Patriots are listed with the 30th-ranked strength of schedule, as their opponents from a year ago had a combined win percentage of just .432. That of course is baked into why the win total is so high. But a lot of these matchups will still be tossups. They begin as slight favorites over the Raiders, Steelers, and Panthers, as well as a mini underdog on the road against the Dolphins. Those are all winnable games, but that is how the season will shape up for them. If they can find a way to squeak out the close ones, you might see Mike Vrabel sneaking into the playoffs here in year 1.

New England Patriots AFC East Division Odds

The Patriots are set firmly in the second position in the AFC East, far head of the Miami Dolphins. It's surprising to say the least, with the struggles New England has experienced over the past few seasons. Outside of bringing Mike Vrabel in, it's hard to say any one move has made this team that much better from last season's four wins. Yes, he'll get more out of the defense and run the rock, but these odds just seem a bit off.

Don't get me wrong, Miami has definitely been trending in the wrong direction with Tua injuries and overall uncertainty, but they seem more capable of putting up points than the Pats as of right now. Either way, neither squad is touching the Buffalo Bills, who should run away with this division using their possibly most talented roster. At -270, they are the heaviest division favorite in the entire NFL, and are poised for a serious Super Bowl run in 2025. The real question will be if the Pats can steal a game away from them.
