The 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is the second Signature Event of the PGA Tour season. Following the first Signature Event, at The Sentry in Hawaii, which was won by Chris Kirk at +12500 odds, Pebble Beach will not enforce a cut line in a field of 80 golfers.
Players will alternate the first two rounds at Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course, playing alongside amateurs during Thursday and Friday. Once the third round begins on Saturday though, it's strictly the 80 professionals competing on the Pebble Beach Golf course for the final two rounds.
We've seen nothing but massive underdogs win outright to start the 2024 PGA Tour season. Will this continue? Or will we finally see one of the favorites take the winning podium? PGA handicapper Matt MacKay is here to share his latest PGA power rankings to advise how the outright betting market should be wagered ahead of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

AT&T PEBBLE BEACH PRO-AM COURSE
Pebble Beach is notorious for its pint-sized greens, measuring roughly 3,500 square feet on average. This means ball-striking will be at a premium, while putting on Poa Annua greens is expected to measure up to 12 feet via Stimpmeter. Dozens of sand bunkers and coastal winds will be the primary obstacles to overcome, especially with wet and breezy conditions expected for most of the event.
Spyglass Hill is the other course that will only be played once, running slightly longer than Pebble Beach but still challenging in its own right. Both courses are par 72, with four par 5s and four par 3s balancing the scorecard. Rough is set to be grown up to three inches, higher than previous events, punishing errant lies off the tee and upon approach.
These links provide dazzling views of the Pacific Ocean, as these courses are built into the side of coastal cliffs. Players will need to do their best to block out the dizzying heights and breathtaking scenery to focus on finding some of the smallest greens in regulation, without winding up in any of the several dozen sand traps guarding the hole.

AT&T PEBBLE BEACH PRO-AM POWER RANKINGS
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER (+800) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS
We haven't seen Scottie Scheffler since The American Express a couple of weeks ago, logging a T17 finish following up his T5 performance during the first Signature Event at The Sentry a month ago. When it comes to ball-striking, Scheffler is undoubtedly the best. He hasn't competed at Pebble Beach until now, only playing once here during the 2019 U.S. Open, winding up missing the cut.
Well-rested and set to test his irons on a course that doesn't punish mediocre putting ability as much as others, it feels like this could be the Texas native's week. At +800, let's wager a unit on Scheffler to earn his first win of the 2024 PGA Tour season at Pebble Beach.
JORDAN SPIETH (+1800) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS
Another Texas native with tons of experience at Pebble Beach, including a win in 2017, along with T3 and runner-up finishes in 2021 and 2022, Jordan Spieth is a big value at +1800 odds in the outright betting market. We haven't seen Spieth compete since a third-place finish at The Sentry, which was also decorated with the PGA Tour's best players.
Spieth's comfort level at Pebble Beach, paired with his rest, makes him an enticing play at +1800 odds. He'll need to improve off-the-tee, but when it came to putting at The Sentry, Spieth was red-hot, entering this week seventh in strokes gained putting. If he can maintain a similar putting performance, while hitting more greens on approach, wagering half a unit at +1800 will result in a nice pay day for us to enjoy.
COLLIN MORIKAWA (+2200) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS
Collin Morikawa's ball-striking ability is going to keep him in the mix near the top of the leaderboard at Pebble Beach this week. The California native missed the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open this past week, however, he did wind up with a T5 finish during the first Signature Event at The Sentry.
Morikawa ranks ninth in strokes gained on approach, which will offset his poor putting display we've seen through two events. This marks Morikawa's debut at the iconic golf course, which could go either way. Due to volatility, despite elite ball-striking, which is the best asset to possess at an event like Pebble Beach, let's stake 0.25 units on Morikawa to wind up with his seventh career win this weekend.
LUDVIG ABERG (+2800) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS
Emerging as one of the PGA Tour's rising stars, 24-year-old Swede, Ludvig Aberg, is fresh off of his strongest outing in 2024. Aberg managed a T9 finish at the Farmers Insurance Open this past week. His form is pure and fun to watch, but none of his strokes gained metrics are dazzling, as Aberg ranks 46th in strokes gained on approach, his best statistic in this category.
Aberg, however, is ranked second in driving efficiency, avoiding rough and other errant lies, giving him a leg up on the competition. A few bad putts from close range cost him a real shot at contending on Sunday last weekend, so perhaps a change of scenery, while staying in California, will do the trick. Aberg also ranks first in scrambling from 20-30 yards away, flexing his short game muscle whenever necessary. Let's stake 0.25 units on Aberg at +2800 odds in the PGA Tour outright betting market this week.
CHRIS KIRK (+10000) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS
We've already watched Chris Kirk pull off his first outright win at Sentry with +12500 odds, so why not go back for seconds at +10000? Kirk ranks seventh in strokes gained approaching the green, playing eight rounds, which shows his consistency with his irons.
Kirk is also top-30 in strokes gained off-the-tee, so he's shaping up to be a strong longshot once again in the outright betting market, aiming for a 2-0 record in Signature Events to start the 2024 season. Previous trips to Pebble Beach have resulted in a missed cut, T16, and another missed cut, but Kirk has at least shown the ability to compete during his T16 finish back in 2021.
We're only wagering 0.25 units on Kirk at +10000 odds, with hopes that he's able to lean into his irons and driver to stay clean on fairways and greens. If he earns enough opportunities to convert birdies and avoid bogeys on one of the most challenging precision courses in the world, we'll be taking home a massive payout to brag about, so let's wrap this up by investing in Kirk's odds at +10000 at FanDuel Sportsbook.
