NFL Schedule Release: How to Bet on NFL Season Specials Futures
Now that the 2025 NFL schedule has been released, many NFL fans are scouring their favorite NFL futures bets from win totals to Super Bowl odds.
Most futures bets are fairly straightforward. A win total bet is just predicting if a team finishes over or under its projected total, a division futures bet is deciding which team wins an NFL division, and Super Bowl bets are about deciding who plays for the championship.
Futures bets are a good window into how NFL teams are perceived entering the season. Good teams have high win totals and sit atop the divisional odds board, while bad teams have low win totals and plus-value odds to win the division. Most team futures are pretty easy to understand.
Then there are NFL season specials futures that are more specific wagers. NFL specials are bets on individual awards or specific outcomes in a season that can't be measured in general futures wagers. For example, FanDuel and DraftKings both offer unique specials futures bets.
Oddschecker lists the most relevant NFL specials bets. Here's how to bet them:
How to Bet on NFL Season Specials Futures
Below are the NFL specials bets found on Oddschecker US.
NFL MVP
Lamar Jackson +550
Josh Allen +650
Joe Burrow +700
Patrick Mahomes +750
Jayden Daniels +900
Not surprisingly, the top five NFL quarterbacks have the best odds to win the MVP. If you think one of these guys can take home the awards, head over to the Oddschecker MVP page and make your selection.
Offensive Rookie of the Year
Ashton Jeanty +250
Cameron Ward +380
Travis Hunter +1000
Omarion Hampton +1400
Tyler Shough +1500
Tetairoa McMillan +1500
This is a fairly expected Offensive Rookie of the Year market based on the NFL Draft. Jeanty is an obvious favorite and should get plenty of run with the Las Vegas Raiders, but Hunter offers lots of value at +1000 and already has a celebrity factor.
Defensive Rookie of the Year
Abdul Carter +250
Jalon Walker +1000
Travis Hunter +1200
Mykel Williams +1400
Mason Graham +1400
Hunter has similar odds to take home Defensive Rookie of the Year, while Carter assumes the spot as the clear favorite. Additionally, it's a good idea to avoid taking a defensive tackle to win this award because a DT hasn't won DROY since Aaron Donald in 2014.
Offensive Player of the Year
Saquon Barkley +650
Ja'Marr Chase +100
Jahmyr Gibbs +1200
Puka Nacua +1600
Justin Jefferson +1800
Derrick Henry +1800
Barkley won the OPOY last year and is the favorite to win the award again. The OPOY odds board has so many great options, so don't feel limited to the players with top-five odds. Running backs Jonathan Taylor and Josh Jacobs are good value at +5000, for instance.
Defensive Player of the Year
Myles Garrett +850
Aidan Hutchinson +900
Micah Parsons +900
T.J. Watt +950
Will Anderson +1300
Sacks are the key to winning the Defensive Player of the Year award. All these guys had at least 11 sacks last year, aside from Hutchinson, who missed most of last season with an injury. Patrick Surtain II (+4000) has the best odds of any defensive back or linebacker, so ride the trend and bet on a defensive end or outside linebacker to win DPOY again.
Coach of the Year
Ben Johnson +750
Mike Vrabel +900
Liam Coen +1400
Pete Carroll +1800
Dave Canales +1800
Coach of the Year is basically "coach of a team that does way better than expectations," so keep that in mind when betting on this award. Funny how Andy Reid has the worst odds at +10000. Johnson and Vrabel make sense as favorites, and Carroll offers real value at +1800, because he could very well lead the Raiders to nine or more wins.
Comeback Player of the Year
Dak Prescott +275
Christian McCaffrey +300
Aidan Hutchinson +300
Trevor Lawrence +500
J.J. McCarthy +650
Injuries or below-average play in 2024 negatively affected these players last year, and a bounce-back season in 2025 could help them win Comeback Player of the Year. Hutchinson is a good pick because he has proved that he can rack up sacks, so he should have the production to win this award if he stays healthy this season.
NFL Draft 2026 First Pick
Arch Manning +240
Garrett Nussmeier +450
Drew Allar +500
LaNorris Sellers +800
Cade Klubnik +1200
Expect a quarterback to hear his name called first in the 2026 NFL Draft. The question is, which quarterback will it be? Take your pick.
