Detroit Tigers vs Oakland Athletics Prediction: Will Paul Blackburn Rack Up the Strikeouts?
It's Monday so we need to come out of the gate swinging. That's just how Mondays work. And swinging. Obviously, that means MLB pitcher strikeout props. If you aren't betting these, then I have no idea what to tell you. They're electric and they're for the people. We needed a better way to bet baseball and our needs were met by this market. I prayed for something like this. In fact, when I meet God one day, the first thing I'm going to ask him is if he made this market for me. We can literally watch the NBA and NHL playoffs while also having action in another sport and still not miss much. It's beautiful. The best thing to happen to MLB since team totals. And obviously steroids. I have one for tonight that starts 7:10pm ET that will go perfectly with the NBA and NHL bets that are likely to come. It's time to live the dream.

Detroit Tigers vs Oakland Athletics Prediction
We're at FanDuel where they let us climb ladders all day long. I will never stop saying that all books should have these bets. Literally all of them. You shouldn't be allowed to call yourself a sportsbook if you don't have ladders. I'm serious. The thing about this one is you will probably be able to bet this at DraftKings or BetMGM since they will likely post 4.5 for +money. Still, I'm at FanDuel because they are already out with a number and it's one I like.
Let me tell you about Paul Blackburn. This kid is so much more than a fantastic red beard. If it were me, I'd keep it a little more manicured but I'm not a beard guy. I don't know if the messed-up look is the way you're supposed to do it. It might just be how it's done so I'll defer to Blackburn. He seems like a plugged-in guy.
The thing people forget about Blackburn is he's throwing the ball harder than he ever has. Like ever. We're talking almost 93 mph people. That's not bad. It's almost two mph faster than last season which could help in the strikeout department. The haters are going to say that he's only reached five Ks twice this season and both times were against the Tampa Bay Rays like that means something. For starters, he's also had two starts where he went for four strikeouts. The guy is right there and despite only throwing 64 pitches in his last start, he still induced 10 swinging strikes. We're on to something with this guy.
Tonight he'll be in Detroit where he'll get a team that has struck out 29% of the time over the last two weeks. There are little league teams that don't strike out that much. Blackburn is on the "Pitchers to Watch" list today and normally I say wait to see a lineup for those guys but I don't think we have to in this spot. I'm pretty sure the Tigers will have to send at least five guys to battle that are striking out at least 30% over the last couple of weeks. This is a decent bet and one that will go great with any NBA or NHL play tonight.
