Welcome back to the daily hit parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. Yesterday, we went 1 for 2, which counts for nothing. Today, we need these two players to lock in and deliver us a hit and I'm very confident they do just that.
FRIDAY'S HIT PARLAY
LEG 1: ALEC BOHM (PHI) TO RECORD A HIT
Our first leg of the hit parlay: Alec Bohm. Bohm and the Phillies continue their home stand against the Pirates today. Bohm is quietly one of the hotter hitters in the league so far with a hit in six out of his last seven games. On the season, he is batting .292 at home.
Bohm gets to face his former teammate Bailey Falter. Falter is primarily a fastball pitcher which is great for Alec since he’s batting .333 against that pitch. Bohm will see great opportunities against Falter and the Pirates bullpen that follows him. Bohm should get it done for us today.
LEG 2: COREY SEAGER (TEX) TO RECORD A HIT
Our second leg of the hit parlay: Corey Seager. Yesterday, Seager wore a golden sombrero…not literally, but he might as well have been wearing one based on what he did at the plate. A golden sombrero is where you strikeout four times in a single game.
Yes…he was that bad. That’s unlike Seager. He will bounce back today especially after two straight hitless games. Today, he gets to face JP France. Great for us as they have history and Seager has performed really well going 4-7 off France with two singles and two home runs. We get the Righty on Lefty matchup to work in our favor too. I really like this spot for him to get back on track. Seager could not have gone to bed happy last night. Let’s hope he wakes up, locked in and ready to get back on track against France and the Astros.
