Late night baseball! We have a lovely slate here tonight, and to close things out I want to head to the West Coast for a lovely divisional clash. The San Diego Padres (7-8) are heading up the coast for a battle with the Los Angeles Dodgers (10-5) at Dodgers Stadium, and I love this spot for the team that once yielded from Brooklyn.

San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction
In the second game of the international series, the Padres shelled Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto on their way to victory. It has also been that long since we found out about the Shohei Ohtani betting scandal (to be clear I do not believe he did it whatsoever, but holy crap Ippei Mizuhara took $16 Million from him before they caught him, absolutely insane). But anyways, I love the Dodgers starter to bounce back here. Yamamoto has been missing barrels since then and throwing the ball very well, so I expect a statement against a divisional opponent.
On the flip side, the Dodgers' bats are heating up, and I think they might destroy Michael King here. The expected slash line against is .270/.374/.537, and that's ignoring the fact that guys like Betts and Ohtani are heating up. I think this is just lining up to be one of those perfect Dodgers home games that no matter how many runs the other squad puts up, the Dodgers will out slug you.
