It hasn't been Braxton Garrett's largest sample size. However, he's only struck out 23.4% of batters to begin the season after throwing to 77 batters overall.
Garrett has added 26.3% of strikeouts to lefties as a lefty but just 22.4% against righties to begin the season.
As a left-handed pitcher, he'll more than likely face a Padres lineup with at least six righties in it. Those six righties have only struck out 17.7% of the time over the last 30 days.
Meanwhile, the three lefties in the projected lineup have only struck out 11.8% in the last 30 days, thanks to Luis Arraez, who has only been sent to the dugout 5.4% in that time frame.
I'll gladly take the 134 plus-money wager on Garrett against this San Diego lineup.

The Red Sox will throw Kutter Crawford today.
He'll pitch against an Orioles lineup that only has a .289 wOBA over the last 30 days against righties. In addition, this Orioles lineup has five batters with strikeout rates of at least 22.7% against righties in the last month.
Meanwhile, Crawford has struck out 23.4% of batters, but 25.4% have come against lefties. The Orioles should have at least six lefties in the lineup today, featuring high-strikeout guys like Anthony Santander, Colton Cowser, and Cedric Mullins.
If Crawford can get through five innings, he's got a solid chance at delivering five strikeouts.

So far this season, Ryan Pepiot has struck out 27.7% of batters. He's added 28.4% of strikeouts against lefties and 26.9% against righties, proving that he can get consistent strikeouts against either side of the plate.
The Rays' right-hander will face an Athletics projected lineup that has struck out 25% of the time against righties in the last 30 days. The lineup has six batters with strikeout rates of at least 22.7% and five batters with strikeout rates of at least 25.9%.
With so many targets and plenty of potential, I like Pepiot to have a big day throwing strikeouts.
