I have been eyeing this MLB Future bet for a while and today feels like the day I pull the trigger. This could have a different outlook after we see some trade deadline moves but as of this exact moment it is a no brainer.

The Yankees are the best team in the AL currently, it’s not up for debate. They are 51-25 and have been doing it all without Gerrit Cole who just finally returned. With Juan Soto now in the mix and their starting pitching looking phenomenal this is a team that nobody wants to see in a seven game series. They are by far the odds on favorite to win the AL.
If a team makes the World Series from the AL that isn’t the Yankees, I like the Baltimore Orioles. Baltimore has the second best record in the AL and although they are young they are ready to compete. I could certainly see Baltimore trading for a pitcher at this deadline to make them even more deadly.
The AL Central shouldn’t represent the AL, the Cleveland Guardians and Kansas City Royals have been playing well but not well enough to merit being in the final two teams. The Seattle Mariners are slightly scary if they trade for bats but I still think both New York and Baltimore have the leg up.
