Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Cleveland Guardians Prediction
The Guardians are one of the best teams in baseball at home this season, and Zac Gallen owns a 4.00 ERA on the road. On paper, the red-hot Diamondbacks who have won four of their last five games should be the play with their “ace” on the mound, but he had a 5.10 ERA in July. Gallen isn’t locked-in right now, and the Guardians are coming off two straight losses at home. Do we really think they are dropping a third straight game at Progressive Field?
I’ll ride with Logan Allen, who just got called up to the majors to make his first start since getting demoted in July. The Guardians aren’t going to need a perfect game out of Allen to win on Monday. A matchup against a struggling Gallen should be enough for Cleveland’s offense to lead the way to victory…

San Francisco Giants vs. Washington Nationals Prediction
Anyone else notice the total dropping in Washington? It wouldn’t be as weird if Patrick Corbin didn’t just pitch debatably the worst start of the MLB season. The Nationals have also caught some steam on the moneyline with absolutely zero good news or respect from public bettors. Are the Nationals going to surprise some people and defeat Logan Webb on Monday night?
The better play in this game is the Nationals on the run-line. I’ll take my chances with an extra run in my back pocket just in case the Nationals bullpen blows this one late, but I’m expecting a low-scoring affair. The total in this game dropped from 9.5 to 9 with the odds juiced to the under, a weird move considering Corbin’s recent struggles. With the Nationals catching this much steam and the total dropping, give me the +1.5 and I’ll meet you at the cash counter when Patty Ice bounces back.

Houston Astros vs. Texas Rangers Prediction
The Astros typically own the Rangers, but I can’t ignore the steam Texas is getting at home in the first game of this series. They opened up around (+115) and are now the betting favorite on some books. It’s a weird line move considering Hunter Brown’s recent successes and Andrew Heaney’s struggles of late…
The Rangers have lost four of their last five games. It’s now or never for the reigning World Series champions. If they can’t get up for a series against their in-state rival when their postseason hopes are hanging on by a thread, their season is over. I’ll give them one more chance tonight as they are starting to look like one of the sharpest plays of the night…
