August 6 Best MLB Home Run Props

Paul Goldschmidt to Hit a Home Run (+440) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

The Cardinals will face lefty Jeffrey Springs tonight. Springs only threw for 18 batters in his first start back.

However, in that first start, Springs allowed a .308 ISO and wOBA of .481 to 14 righties. He's also given up 36.4% of fly balls and struck out just 14.3% of righties in that start. Beyond that, Springs allowed 45.5% of hard contact and induced the same amount of ground balls as fly balls.

Again, this isn't the biggest sample size for Springs. But Paul Goldschmidt has raked lefties, hitting a .435 ISO and wOBA of .527 in the last month. That's a sample size of 24 at-bats, which is a much stronger sample.

Let's take Goldy to launch one tonight.

Cal Raleigh to Hit a Home Run (+320) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

Over the last 30 days, Seattle's Cal Raleigh has hit a .259 ISO and wOBA of .387 against his last 68 righties. He's also struck out only 22.1% of the time while hitting 34.9% of fly balls and 58.1% of hard contact against righties.

Meanwhile, he'll take on Keider Montero of the Tigers. Montero has allowed a .263 ISO and wOBA of .371 to his last 60 lefties. He's also struck out just 15% of lefties while earning only 5.1% of swinging strikes.

Conversely, Raleigh has slugged an 18.6% barrel percentage and has earned nearly 28% of line drives against righties. This is a good spot for the switch-hitting catcher.

Nick Castellanos to Hit a Home Run (+600) CLICK HERE TO SEE WHICH SPORTSBOOK HAS THE BEST ODDS

It seemed like everyone was on Nick Castellanos to hit a home run last night. He didn't have an insane matchup, but still came close.

However, tonight, he's got a much better opportunity against Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw has allowed a .200 ISO and wOBA of .391 to his first 34 righties faced this season. He's also earned just 14.7% of strikeouts and has allowed 50% of hard contact with nearly 31% of line drives to righties.

On the other hand, Castellanos has slugged a .400 ISO and wOBA of .513 with just 6.7% of strikeouts against lefties over the last 30 days. This is the much better matchup for Castellanos.
