Colin Rea has struck out 27% of batters over the last month. He's also held those same 89 batters to a .122 ISO and wOBA of .279.
Meanwhile, he'll take on a Braves projected lineup that has struck out 24.8% of the time against righties over the last 30 days. That projected lineup has seven batters that have struck out at least 24.1% of the time against righties over the last month.
Rea hasn't earned a super high strikeout rate throughout the season. But his improvements and matchup have me excited to back Rea for five strikeouts or more at plus money.

Cardinals right-hander Sonny Gray has added 29% of strikeouts over the last month. He's also struck out 30.5% of batters this season, proving his consistency throughout the season.
Tonight, he'll pitch against a Rays lineup that has struck out 30.4% of the time against righties over the last month. The projected lineup has seven batters with a strikeout rate of at least 22.9% and all nine batters with strikeout rates of at least 19.5%.
There have been multiple pitchers that have added double-digit strikeouts against the Rays over the last 30 days. Gray could be another candidate for 10+ strikeouts. Still, we'll settle with seven.

Since returning to the mound, Clayton Kershaw has struck out only 14.6% of batters. He's also allowed a .162 ISO and wOBA of .368 and has struggled badly against righties, giving up 50% of hard contact.
Kershaw used to be one of the best pitchers in the game. But that's no longer the case.
His strikeout rate is weak, and now he's facing a Phillies lineup that has struck out only 14.2% of the time against lefties over the last month. Only Kyle Schwarber has struck out more than 22.2% of the time against lefties over the last month in the Phillies' lineup. Take Kershaw to go Under 4.5 Ks.
