FRIDAY'S MLB PARLAY
LEG 1: Diamondbacks & Red Sox Both 1+ Runs First 5 Innings
Our first leg of the Parlay: Diamondbacks & Red Sox Both 1+ Runs First 5 Innings. This leg of the parlay needs each team to score at least 1 run through the first 5 innings of this game.
The D-backs face off against Brayan Bello today. Bello has over a 5 ERA at home this season and is allowing a .274 batting average with runners in scoring position. He's been better lately, but this D-backs offense is no slouch. The D-backs offense is 1st in wRC+ over the last 14 days, and should be in a great position to get at least one off Bello in the First 5. We’ll also need at least one run from the Red Sox against Ryne Nelson. Nelson has a 3.5 Earned Run line, which is indicative of a rough start today. Over the last two weeks, the Red Sox are top 5 in batting average and OPS against righties. At Fenway, the Red Sox will do their job and cash this leg for us.
LEG 2: Luis Castillo (SEA) OVER 17.5 Outs
Our second leg of the Parlay: Luis Castillo OVER 17.5 Outs. We need 6 Innings tonight from the Mariners ace. Tonight, Castillo takes the bump for the Mariners. They just fired their manager last night...I can't imagine the interim manager will want to take out the Mariners ace if he doesn't have to make that call.
This season, Castillo is OVER 17.5 Outs in 17 of his last 25 starts. Of the eight starts he didn't make it 6+ Innings, five of them were on the road, where he's performed substantially worse.
