Best Bets Today: Monday's MLB Parlay from Calling Our Shot
Welcome to the daily parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. Last week, the Parlays of the Day went 3-2 (a profitable week). This week, we aim for 5-0. Let's start strong.
MONDAY'S PARLAY
LEG 1: Houston Astros Team Total UNDER 4.5
Our first leg of the Parlay: Houston Astros Team Total UNDER 4.5. Today, we fade the Astros as they come off a Sunday Night Baseball Victory over the Orioles. Now, they travel to Philadelphia to face the Phillies ace, Zack Wheeler.
Wheeler owns a 2.40 ERA at home. he's been about as good as it gets. Opposing teams are UNDER 4.5 Runs in 18 of his 25 starts, including four straight. The Phillies' bullpen has been much better recently (6th in ERA over the last two weeks). We need Wheeler to hold the Astros down and then have the Phillies bullpen close the door.
LEG 2: Bryce Miller (SEA) OVER 17.5 Outs
Our second leg of the Parlay: Bryce Miller Over 17.5 Outs. We need Miller to go a full six innings for us to cash this parlay leg.
Miller has went six innings in two of his last three starts, and enters this game in good form. At home, Miller has a 2.09 ERA compared to a 4.75 ERA on the road. At home against an underwhelming Rays offense, he should see an efficient outing once again today. The Rays have been abysmal vs. righties this month, only hitting .219 in August. Bryce will get a long leash before they have to dip into the bullpen. We’ll take our chances with Bryce giving us a great six innings of work to cash this parlay.
