MLB Player Props Today: Friday, June 6th
0.75 Unit Pick: (COL) Ryan McMahon to Record a Walk (+110) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
The first prop is Ryan McMahon to record a walk. McMahon walks at an elite rate (13.9%), which rises against right-handed pitching and also jumps to 15.9% when playing at Home (17.9%). The matchup vs. Kodai Senga is great! McMahon walked in the matchup earlier this season vs. Senga and has one walk in six career plate appearances in this matchup.
The reason Senga is a great walks target is because he owns a 11.2% Walk% this season (ranks in the 19th percentile). His walk rate is extremely high vs left-handed batters this season as he owns a 6.23 walks per 9 innings ratio against them. Senga averaged 3.16 walks per start in May, so he likely has another 2-5 walks in today's start. Love McMahon's chances here tonight!
0.75 Unit Pick: (ATL) Matt Olson to Record a Walk (+115) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
The 2nd look for tonight's slate is Braves slugger Matt Olson to record a walk. I am loving this one tonight for a few reasons. First off, Olson has now walked in three straight games and owns a 12.8% Walk % this season, which ranks in the 85th percentile. That rate jumps to 14.4% this season against right-handed pitch & 14.3% when playing on the Road.
Olson has one walk in two career plate appearances vs. Hayden Birdsong. In his MLB career, Birdsong has a 5.31 walks per 9 innings ratio to left-handed batters, which is great for Matt Olson. Olson’s chase rate has improved a ton this season, compared to past years, so I love his odds to walk tonight in San Francisco and think the odds we are getting for it are great!
Looking to go 2-0 on these. Let's cash both of these player props tonight!
