We're into July and the 2025 MLB Rookie of the Year betting market odds are rapidly shifting. There have been standout performances across the league but only a handful of rookies have been consistent enough for a chance to take home this highly coveted award.

It's been quite a year for Jacob Wilson. The Athletics' shortstop has a 2.1 WAR, .339 batting average and 40 RBIs in 2025. Wilson leads the Athletics in hits (108), WAR, and OPS (.853) as a 23-year-old rookie.
Despite the Athletics sitting last place in their division, 17.5 games back in the AL West, Wilson's production at the plate has been red hot. As a result, he's currently the clear-cut betting favorite to win the American League Rookie of the Year at -220 odds.

After a slow start, the Houston Astros have had their offense come to life. 22-year-old Cam Smith has been an integral piece, posting a .279 batting average with 33 RBIs and a .777 OPS.
Smith has recorded two or more hits in five consecutive games played, including back-to-back home runs against the Chicago Cubs. On Wednesday, the young outfielder shredded the Rockies with three hits and two RBIs. The Astros' 7.5 game lead in the AL West also helps Smith's bid for 2025 AL Rookie of the Year. He's third on the team in WAR, batting average and OPS.
While Smith is currently a distant second behind Wilson, if he continues his current pace, expect +350 odds to shorten quickly.

The Athletics have two rookies in the top three favorites to win 2025 AL Rookie of the Year award, with 1B Nick Kurtz available to bet at +450 odds. The 22-year-old lefty has an .814 OPS, .500 slugging percentage and 32 RBIs in only 170 plate appearances.
In comparison to his fellow teammate and rookie, Jacob Wilson, Kurtz's numbers are equally impressive, playing 33 fewer games this season. Despite Kurtz dealing with a three-game hitting drought, he's shown the ability to dominate in the Athletics' lineup with a 47.7 percent hard hit rate and .253 ISO.
It'll be fun to watch Kurtz and Wilson for the remainder of the 2025 MLB season. If Wilson cools off and Kurtz breaks out of his mini-slump, we could potentially see a close race to the finish line between these teammates.
Kurtz has flown up the odds board after sitting back at +5000 a few weeks ago. Several walk-off homers have put him on the map, and he'll battle his teammate down the stretch.

Jacob Misiorowski remains the betting favorite to win the National League Rookie of the Year despite coming off of his worst start in the MLB against the New York Mets on Wednesday. The 6-7 righty surrendered five earned runs on five hits, including a grand slam and another solo home run in the second inning.
Oddsmakers still have Misiorowski as a sizable favorite compared to the other top players in this futures awards market. However, Milwaukee's rookie pitcher dropped down to -118 odds following their 7-3 road loss to the Mets.
Prior to Wednesday, the 23-year-old had a 1.13 ERA in three starts. This included only three total hits and two earned runs since earning his first start back on June 12th in a 6-0 shutout win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
If you're bullish on Misiorowski to play better moving forward, -118 odds feels like good value to acquire in the latest National League Rookie of the Year betting market.

The Atlanta Braves have had a disappointing year in 2025 but Drake Baldwin has been a bright spot. The 24-year-old catcher has an .805 OPS, .461 SLG and .273 batting average in 57 games this season.
Baldwin's WAR is 1.6 and he has a hard hit rate of 52.6 percent. He's currently in a hitting rut, going four consecutive games without a base hit for Atlanta.
Baldwin will need to break his hitting slump. Then, he'll also need the Braves to start stacking wins in the next couple of months to gain ground on Misiorowski if he wants to win 2025 National League Rookie of the Year.

The Miami Marlins' catcher and DH, Agustín Ramírez, is available to bet as the third favorite in the National League Rookie of the Year futures market at +900 odds. The 23-year-old is third on the team in runs scored (32), second in total home runs (12), third in RBIs (33) and third in SLG (.479) during his rookie campaign.
The Marlins have begun to heat up, going 7-3 SU in their last 10 games played. Ramírez has leaned on his hard hitting at the plate to give the offense a big spark, which is why he's currently inside the top three to win the 2025 NL Rookie of the Year award.
Ramírez has an impressive 47.9 percent hard hit rate and .226 ISO. He's still a longshot at 9-1 odds but Miami's ability to win games against quality opponents could launch Ramírez into contention for this award during the final three months of the regular season.
