Memphis Grizzlies vs. Toronto Raptors Prediction
The Grizzlies enter this game ice cold as of late, and they are in need of a big win tonight. Despite the cold spell, the Grizzlies still hold the number two seed in the West thanks to a hot start. Memphis has been led by superstar guard Ja Morant who was just voted into the all-star game this week. Morant, who is a former rookie of the year, is the engine that makes this team run. If the Grizzlies want to have any chance to go on a championship run, they will need him to be locked in.
Toronto, meanwhile, comes into this game supporting a record of just 24-30. This is a roster that is way more talented than that record indicates, but they simply have not been able to piece things together this season. It is expected that the Raptors will be active this week at the trade deadline, and they may blow up this roster and start over. Pascal Siakam is the star of this team, but his name has been thrown around in trade talks this week. Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby are also important pieces of this team but similar to Siakam, they have been mentioned in trades this week. It will be interesting to see how the Raptors attack the deadline in the coming days.
I love this spot for the Grizzlies tonight. I am backing them on the spread and ML here and giving you all the options of what you want to do. I do feel confident at -3 that the Grizz will get it done, but if you want to be safe and go money line, here be my guest. Memphis has lost seven of their last eight, and they are more than due to get this win at home tonight, facing a Raptors team that is probably more focused on the trade deadline than this game. I believe this line may jump when the status of Morant is revealed, and possibly Jaren Jackson Jr., who was also recently voted an all-star. Let’s stay hot and cash in!
