ALABAMA VS. AUBURN PREDICTION
Both of these teams like to push the pace, especially Alabama. They got the better of Auburn a few weeks ago at home, mainly because of Auburn’s slow start. The Tigers actually beat Alabama by ten in the second half of that game. As soon as they found their groove, they were unstoppable.
I have a feeling Auburn is going to carry that momentum from the first matchup with Bama into tonight’s contest. It doesn’t hurt that the Jungle is one of the toughest places to play in the country. The Tigers have yet to lose a home game this season.
Johni Broome mentioned how much fouling out of last year’s game against Bama at home stuck with him. He feels like he let his team down. Broome is going to have a great matchup tonight to get the revenge he’s been waiting for. He’s been waiting almost a year for a chance to beat Auburn’s rival at home. Tonight, he finally gets that chance.
This Auburn team looks a little different since the last time these teams played in January. Aden Holloway is getting less minutes, and Bruce Pearl is relying on his veterans down the stretch. In a big game that’s nationally televised, this makes me feel even more confident in Auburn tonight. Jaylin Williams and Denver Jones have stepped up recently; I’m willing to bet they continue building on their recent successes with another great game tonight.
