Kai Kara-France vs. Amir Albazi Prediction: Will This UFC Fight Night Main Event Go the Distance?
The UFC has finally done it. They have finally moved on from tired heavyweight and women's bantamweight main events with a complete 180. We will get a flyweight main event from two fighters that actually have the potential to become UFC champions. Despite being smaller than the average fourth grader, both of these fighters possess a dangerous skillset for each other.
I could see Kai Kara-France getting his hand raised with his smooth striking and acrobatic scrambles. I could also see Amir Albazi moving up the ranks with his slick ground game and fight IQ. Kai and Amir are dead even on the betting line at the time this article is being written. The oddsmakers got this one right. This is a tough fight to bet, and I have no lean either way. The money to be made will not be on the moneyline tomorrow night. How can we make money on this fight?

Kai Kara-France vs. Amir Albazi Prediction
There are three rules that I live by when placing my MMA bets. Women's overs, Belal Muhammad overs, and last but not least - flyweight unders. The pace of flyweight fights is faster than Jon Jones when he hears USADA knock on his door. Fun fact: four of the last five fights scheduled for five rounds were Brandon Moreno versus Deiveson Figueiredo. Flyweight main events are clearly a rarity, but they are a treat. Kai Kara is an explosive striker and has a tendency to throw caution to the wind in pursuit of a knockout. This is a dream come true for inside-the-distance bettors, especially against a guy like Albazi, who boasts an 87% finish rate.
The underline is currently sitting at 3.5 rounds for +125. While this is tempting, we must keep some things in mind. Firstly, this will be the biggest step up in competition in Albazi's career by a meaningful amount. His most recent fight was against a UFC debutant that nearly went the distance. Against a fighter who is very accustomed to getting finishes, I can see KKF using his experience to slow this fight down a bit to frustrate Albazi. And while Kai is an elite striker, he is not an elite finisher.
He has only racked up two KO victories in his ten UFC fights, one of them being against Cody Garbrandt, which shouldn't even count at this point. Amir is a durable guy and does not take a lot of damage in his fights. The over unders on this fight are attractive, but there is a prop play that has a slightly lower payout and a much greater chance of happening.
For flyweights, five-round fights are like ten-round fights for any other weight class. They are jam-packed with action and excitement. I guarantee this fight will be fought at a high pace, but I am not certain it will start as one. Both of these fighters will be hunting a finish, especially toward the later rounds. I would be very surprised if this one makes it to the scorecards. If I were the one making the odds, I would have a much bigger price tag on the ITD prop than the -120 it currently sits at. I think 1 unit on this fight not needing the judges is the best bet on the entire card.
