LAFC vs. Queretaro Prediction: LAFC Massive Favorite in Wednesday's League Cup?

LAFC hosts Querétaro on Wednesday with the Black & Gold priced at -370, Querétaro at +800 and the draw at +450. LAFC enters with five points through two Phase One matches and still has a realistic path to the quarterfinals, while Querétaro has already been eliminated.

LAFC has taken points from both of its tournament matches. It opened with a 1-1 draw against Guadalajara before earning the extra point in a 5-4 penalty shootout, then followed with a dramatic 1-0 victory over Toluca on Eddie Segura’s stoppage-time winner.

LAFC vs. Queretaro Prediction

That victory extended LAFC’s unbeaten streak to seven matches across all competitions, with six wins and one draw during the run. The defense has been particularly strong, allowing only three goals over that stretch, while Denis Bouanga and Son Heung-min give the attack more than enough quality to overwhelm weaker opposition.

Querétaro has been competitive in Liga MX but has struggled badly since entering Leagues Cup. Los Gallos Blancos lost 2-0 to Dallas and 3-0 to Seattle, leaving them without a goal or point through two matches despite attempting more than 30 shots.

The tournament situation should also keep LAFC attacking if it gets ahead. Goal differential is the first tiebreaker in the advancement race, and head coach Marc Dos Santos has acknowledged the value of producing a larger victory once the initial objective of winning is secured. Querétaro has little beyond pride at stake after already being eliminated.

This matchup also takes place at BMO Stadium, where LAFC has historically been extremely difficult to beat in Leagues Cup. Querétaro has already lost by multiple goals in both tournament appearances, while LAFC enters unbeaten in seven and just shut out a much stronger Toluca side.

LAFC vs. Queretaro Best Bet

The -370 moneyline offers almost no betting value on such a heavy favorite. LAFC -1.5 at -135 instead attacks both the substantial talent gap and the tournament incentive to create separation, while Querétaro’s five goals conceded and zero scored through two matches provide a clear path to another multi-goal defeat.
