Calvin Kattar will look to end a four-match losing streak with an exciting battle against Steve Garcia in the main card of UFC Fight Night in Nashville, Tennessee.
Kattar quickly went from fighting the likes of Max Halloway, Josh Emmett, and Aljamain Sterling to now facing Garcia in just a few years.
There's nothing wrong with that, except for the fact that Garcia really hasn't fought many of the top featherweight contenders in his career. He lost his first two of three UFC fights but has since won five consecutive matches, each by knockout.

Calvin Kattar was always known for his volume striking. He's had great cardio throughout his career and always kept his composure when under pressure. But he's currently 37 years old and has only won one UFC fight since 2021. It's now 2025. Meanwhile, Steve Garcia has won five consecutive UFC fights by knockout since 2022. Garcia hasn't fought in the third round since his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night in 2020 against Luis Pena. Garcia has vicious knockout power. He also moves at an aggressive pace and will look to finish you early in the fight. But with that comes some defensive lapses, where he'll over-commit. Against a veteran like Kattar, that's not always ideal. Garcia has landed 56% of significant strikes in his UFC career. He's also absorbed fewer strikes and has spent just 5.08 minutes in the octagon since joining the UFC. Ultimately, Garcia will surely be the aggressor. He'll get in the clinch, but he's still going to want to stand up and punch. Garcia should be able to use his left hands and uppercuts to knock Kattar out early.
