Oregon vs. Utah Prediction

The outcome of this game will go a long way in deciding who plays in the Pac 12 Championship and whose season will stay alive for the College Football Playoffs.

The Ducks enter play with a record of 6-1 on the season.

Oregon's lone loss came in a thriller at Washington that. They lost by a field goal.

Veteran signal caller Bo Nix leads this Ducks offense. Nix has been as good as any quarterback in college football this season, throwing for 2,089 yards, 19 touchdowns, and one interception. Additionally, he has rushed for two touchdowns.

The Ducks have one of the best combinations of any team in college football in their backfield. Bucky Irving leads the team in rushing with 649 yards, while running back Jordan James leads the team with eight rushing touchdowns.

The most explosive player on this offense is wide receiver Troy Franklin. Franklin, who will be a first-round pick in this year's NFL Draft, leads the team with 44 receptions for 778 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Ducks defense has played well this season, ranking 21st in points allowed per game (18.7).

Utah will begin play with a 6-1 record.

The Ute's only loss of the season came on the road vs a good Oregon State team.

Utah announced that their starting quarterback, Cam Rising, would not suit up for the season.

The offense has struggled in the absence of Rising despite the 6-1 record.

Bryson Barnes and Nate Johnson have split the quarterback duties in the absence of Rising. Barnes leads the team in passing, throwing for 633 yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions.

Running back Ja'Quinden Jackson leads the Utes backfield, rushing for 450 yards.

Wide receiver Mikey Matthews leads the Utes in receiving, racking up a team-best 210 yards on the season.

The Utes defense ranks 12th in points allowed per game (16.3).

Oregon vs. Utah Pick

Both of these teams are excellent defensively, but the x-factor in this game will be the Oregon offense.

Oregon will be too much offensively for Utah to keep pace with.

Oregon ranks fifth in points scored per game (41.3).

We just saw USC drop 32 points on this Utah defense last weekend.

The Utes offense has struggled all season, ranking ninth in points per game (22.2), and is not built to throw the football and play from behind.
