The Florida State Seminoles are currently 9-0 and would be playing in the College Football Playoff if the season ended today.
Unfortunately, the regular season isn't ending today. The Seminoles still have three more games on the regular season schedule, including this game against Miami and a non-conference game against Florida.
But if Florida State wins Saturday's matchup against Miami, they'll be undefeated in the ACC and will be slotted into the ACC Championship no matter if they beat North Alabama and Florida.
Still, those two games are essential, along with Miami, if the Seminoles want to reach the CFP.
Can the Hurricanes play spoiler on the road?

Miami probably should be fighting for an ACC Championship this season.
Instead, they've had some costly mistakes and brutal losses and are now 6-3 on the season.
The Hurricanes have lost three of their last five games, including a home game to Georgia Tech when all they had to do was kneel it. The Hurricanes also lost a ten-point game on the road to North Carolina and found no offense against North Carolina State on the road.
But each loss was no more than 14 points. On Saturday, they're 14.5-point underdogs.
Tyler Van Dyke has thrown 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions as quarterback of the Hurricanes. He started the season so strong but has struggled as of late, potentially due to an injury sustained earlier in the year.
Still, the run game has been solid behind Henry Parrish Jr., who has rushed for 6.1 yards per carry on 77 attempts this season.
The roster shouldn't be struggling as much as it is. But it's undoubtedly the turnovers tearing them down.
The Hurricanes have still scored 32.1 points per game and have averaged 6.48 yards per play this season. That's incredibly good.
On the other hand, the defense has held teams to 20 points per game. Opponents have averaged under three yards per rush this season and under five yards per play. The run defense is fantastic, and they've done well converting on tackles.
The defense certainly isn't the reason why the Hurricanes have struggled recently.
Conversely, Florida State is led by Jordan Travis, who is in the running for the Heisman. Travis has earned nearly 2,500 yards in the air with 19 touchdowns and two interceptions this season. He's been super efficient behind a solid offensive line.
But Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson were absent from Florida State's game last weekend. Those two combined for 11 touchdowns and nearly 1,000 yards as the Seminoles' wide receiver duo. If those two remain out, the Seminoles could be in trouble against a dominant Miami defense.
On defense, Florida State's secondary is elite. However, the run defense has allowed about four yards per carry this season. The Seminoles are solid against the run and have a respectable pass rush. But Miami's got more going for them on the defensive side of the ball from a year-long standpoint.
I'm not guaranteeing a Miami victory. But the Seminoles could struggle at home against the Hurricanes. Miami matches up well, and if Van Dyke can just limit turnovers a little bit better, the Hurricanes should surely cover the 14.5-point spread.
