This Weekend's Best Bets: The Five Best Bets for the Weekend Ahead
*Editor's Note: We have something MASSIVE coming your way on oddschecker+ for the Thanksgiving season. Check back for something big*
After a 2-3 weekend, we're back looking for some revenge. I've got five bets for the weekend that you'll want to consider tailing this weekend. Let's get right to it!
Favorite 5 Weekend Picks
NCAAF: Indiana vs. Ohio State: Indiana +13.5 (-115) (Bet $115 to collect $215)
Saturday, November 23, 12:00 PM ET
I know this is a sucker bet. But Indiana has done nothing but win under Curt Cignetti. If Indiana were named Michigan, they'd be the No. 1 team in the nation.
Yes, Indiana has played the worst teams in the Big Ten this year. But it's still a difficult conference, regardless. Indiana was expected to be a bottom dweller, and they're 10-0. In addition, Kurtis Rourke has better Heisman odds than Ohio State's Will Howard.
Ultimately, the Buckeyes have had many poor starts to games. If that happens against Indiana, Ohio State won't be able to climb all the way back and earn a two-score cover. Give me Indiana.
NCAAF: Illinois vs. Rutgers: Rutgers (+100) (Bet $100 to collect $200)
Saturday, November 23, 12:00 PM ET
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights haven't added a win against a top-25 opponent since Greg Schiano came over for his second stint as head coach. Now's the time.
Rutgers is coming off back-to-back wins against Minnesota and Maryland. It's probably the best two-game stretch under Schiano in this second stint. Now they'll take on Illinois, who played four of their last five games at home. Illinois won those four home games but was crushed by Oregon on the road.
Let's also not forget that Illinois needed overtime to escape Purdue in mid-October.
With the way the Scarlet Knights are playing, I'll roll with them at +100.
NCAAF: Texas A&M vs. Auburn: Texas A&M -2.5 (-110) (Bet $110 to collect $210)
Saturday, November 23, 10:15 PM
I get that this is a rivalry game. But we're talking about the Auburn Tigers.
Auburn is 4-6 this season and has lost to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma at home. Texas A&M is surely in a look-ahead spot. But after losing to South Carolina, they'll be way more prepared, thanks to a confidence boost against New Mexico State last weekend.
The Aggies don't always show off electric defense. However, Auburn's offense isn't exactly great, either. Auburn scored just seven points at home against Vanderbilt and added just 17 on the road against Missouri. The Tigers won't keep up with the Aggies.
NFL: Buccaneers vs. Giants: Buccaneers -6 (-115) (Bet $115 to collect $215)
Sunday, November 24, 1:00 PM ET
At 4-6, the Buccaneers are still a playoff team. Just look at the schedule for Tampa Bay.
The Bucs have the Giants, Panthers, Raiders, Cowboys, Panthers, and Saints on the schedule. The only potential loss would be the Los Angeles Chargers.
But with Mike Evans suiting back up for the Bucs this weekend, Tampa Bay knows where it stands. Every game is a must-win for the Buccaneers. Ultimately, every game, except the game against the Chargers, will have Tampa Bay favored.
Meanwhile, New York is clearly in tank mode, with Tommy DeVito starting for the Giants. Back the Buccaneers to win big.
NFL: 49ers vs. Packers: 49ers +2 (-110) (Bet $110 to collect $210)
Sunday, November 24, 4:25 PM ET
The 49ers haven't lived up to expectations this season. At 5-5, the 49ers have some pressure on them heading into the season's final stretch.
That said, it's hard to look away from the 49ers as underdogs. After all, this team won the NFC last year and still has a very good team. While Brandon Aiyuk is no longer available, the 49ers have Christian McCaffrey back and George Kittle should return this week.
There's too much value to pass up. Grab the 49ers at +2.
