ANALYSIS

Browns vs Bengals Parlay (+1013): Hammer This Monday Night Football Longshot

We started off the night with a bankroll builder, so it’s only right we move on to something a little more memorable. The Browns and the Bengals take center stage tonight, and a +1013 same-game parlay seemed exactly what the masses need. I mean… why not?

Let’s break down each leg needed to get to green.

Joe Mixon (CIN) 60+ rushing yards

Mixon has seen heavy volume this year, and tonight the Bengals get the Cleveland Browns, who give up the eighth most rushing yards of any team in the league. Mixon has a touchdown in his last two games and should be the focal point tonight with star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase sidelined with a hip injury. I like Mixon to see enough volume to make this number achievable.

Nick Chubb (CLE) 70+ rushing yards

Chubb only failed to reach 70 rushing yards in one game this season, finishing with 12 carries for 56 yards in a blowout loss to the New England Patriots two weeks ago. Outside of that game, Chubb has rushed for at least 87 yards in every other game the Browns have played this season. The Browns should lean on him tonight, as they do most games.

Amari Cooper (CLE) 40+ receiving yards

Cooper has been very productive this year and is the number one target for Browns quarterback Jacoby Brissett, seeing at least 10 targets in four of the seven games played. Cooper has cleared this number easily in all but two games this year and should see extra work with tight end David Njoku sidelined.

Tyler Boyd (CIN) 40+ receiving yards

Fun fact, Boyd has only failed to reach this number in one game this year, but outside of that 17-yard outing in week 2, Boyd has at least 32 yards receiving in every other game this season, including 155 yards and a score last week against the Atlanta Falcons. I expect Boyd to be busy tonight working the underneath routes and moving the chains.

Donovan Peoples-Jones (CLE) 40+ receiving yards

Peoples-Jones is quietly putting together a very solid year for the Browns, with three 70+ receiving yard games in his last four and 50 or more receiving yards in his last four games. Without Njoku in the lineup, DPJ will be needed again for the Browns.

Cincinnati Bengals +17.5 alternative spread

Doesn’t require much explanation. With Jacoby Brissett at quarterback and a struggling defense, I’m not worried about adding this to bring our odds to +1013. Why not? It just has a better look to it – but maybe that’s just me.
