5 minThe Seattle Seahawks vs. the San Francisco 49ers will duel things out from California on Saturday afternoon. These two teams clashed twice during the regular season and San Francisco won both meetings. The 49ers are seen as one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl and they currently hold the best odds of winning the NFC.
Let's get into my pick for this one.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks Prediction
The 49ers have had an interesting season. In the off-season, San Francisco announced that they would start second-year quarterback Trey Lance. This move made it appear like the 49ers would move on from last year's starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
To the surprise of many, the 49ers re-signed Jimmy in the off-season to back up Lance. Lance was injured early in the season, which forced Jimmy into action. Garoppolo sustained an injury about a month ago against the Dolphins, which forced third-string quarterback Brock Purdy into action.
Purdy was the last pick in the NFL Draft last year, but you would not know that based on his play. Purdy is yet to lose a start, going 5-0 and winning the Dolphins game, which he did not start but took over in the first quarter.
Seattle, meanwhile, comes into this game feeling great about their season. This was a team that was slated to win four or five games and now they are playing on Wild Card weekend. The Seahawks traded Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos in the off-season, and at the time, many Seahawks fans were not too excited about the move. A few months later, they could not be happier.
The Seahawks will have the Bronco's first-round pick this year, which is a top-ten pick, and they will get an opportunity to continue their season with a win this week. Geno Smith turned in a Pro Bowl season and it now looks like he may be the Seahawk's future at the quarterback position. Seattle comes into play as a double-digit road underdog.

I am backing the 49ers here on the -9.5 spread. I understand that when you look at this line, you may say it is too many points, but when you break it down, there is a massive talent gap here.
The 49ers should be able to do whatever they want on the offensive side of the football, and on the flip side, I believe that the Seahawks will really struggle to move the football. Seattle is a team that depends on the run to open up the passing game, but I think that the Seahawks will struggle to run the ball here, which will make them one-dimensional. I give Seattle a ton of credit for what they accomplished this year, but it will come to an abrupt ending on Saturday afternoon.
