Eagles vs. 49ers Same-Game Parlay Picks

Leg 1: Eagles -2.5

The Eagles, who were 8-point home favorites against the New York Giants on Saturday in a game that many expected to be close, are coming off a 38-7 Divisional Round victory. With the benefit of the No. 1 seed and a bye the week prior, the Eagles stormed out to a 14-0 lead after the first quarter and led 28-0 at the half. In total, Philadelphia gained 416 yards while limiting New York to 227.

While the 49ers, behind rookie QB Brock Purdy, have indeed rode the hot hand down the stretch, I think they meet their match in front of a hostile crowd in Philly. Birds roll.

Leg 2: 49ers Team Total - Under 24.5 Points

The best defense Purdy has faced will be Philadelphia's, who finished second in total defense (301.5 yards per game) during the regular season. The Eagles have recorded 75 sacks overall, the third-most in NFL history when the postseason is included. The Chicago Bears, who had a record 82 in 1984 and 80 in 1985, had the only two teams with higher performances in the middle of the 1980s.

Talk about being in elite company.

I think Purdy struggles all day, and the Eagles' defense keeps the 49ers below this alternate number.

Leg 3: Anytime Touchdown (1st Half) - Jalen Hurts

With 35 total touchdowns during a season in which he missed multiple games, it’s easy to see why Hurts is amongst the NFL MVP candidates. Even still, many in Philly, and likely Hurts himself, feel like he’s being dismissed when it comes to the league’s best young QBs.

Expect him to show out here early, and often.
