Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Same Game Parlay: Can The Steelers Shut Down Deshaun Watson?

Week 2 comes to a close with an AFC North showdown between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns. There has been bad blood recently, with tempers flaring up between these two teams, so that we can expect a physical and intense game tonight. The Steelers have started 0-1 after a lowly performance against the Niners, while the Browns started 1-0 off a dominating performance against the Bengals. What can we expect in tonight's game? This +438 same-game parlay from FanDuel will answer for me.

Browns vs. Steelers Date, Start Time, and Where to Watch

Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Same Game Parlay

Leg 1: Steelers ML

Talk about an overreaction. The Steelers get blown out by the best team in the NFC and the current +350 favorites to win the NFC this season, and now this line has flipped? Preseason, this line was -1.5 for the Steelers. Now, they are the same line at home again against the Browns that they just were against the Niners? The Browns got a nice week one win, but that was against a Bengals team that is playing horribly to start the season, and now it is sounding like Joe Burrow was playing through his calf injury while it was bothering him, likely affecting his performance.

This line just screams overreaction. Last season, on January 8th, the Steelers were -2.5 against the Browns at home and won 28-14. That was with Kenny Pickett and Deshaun Watson at quarterback, too. Let's not forget that Watson finished 16/29 for 154 yards last week, and it's not like he put on some hall-of-fame performance. This line flipping has me loving the Steelers, as all the steam has come in on the Browns, and now public action is finally hitting the Steelers back a half-point. Mike Tomlin has not lost a Monday Night Football game in Pittsburgh, and the Steelers are 20-0 since 1991 on Monday night. I like Kenny Pickett in this spot and the bounce back on the Steelers.

Leg 2: Elijah Moore Over 3.5 Receptions

Elijah Moore led all receivers with 43 yards last week. Even on a low-volume day for Watson, he targeted Moore seven times, connecting for three receptions and 43 yards. Moore comes from the Jets his last two seasons, and it looks like he may have a big role in this Browns' offense. Oh yeah, and Amari Cooper is unlikely to play in this game. Cooper doesn't even have lines up on FanDuel right now, so I doubt he is going to play, and that just means more looks for more.

Moore lines up mostly in the slot, and this could mean another big game for him against a talented backfield for the Steelers. Moore and Cooper tied for seven targets last week, and with Cooper out, Moore should get AT LEAST seven again. Catching only three on seven targets is not likely to happen again, and Moore should fly over this, hitting five or six even. +118 on over 3.5? I'll take it all day in this spot.

Leg 3: Deshaun Watson Under 1.5 Passing Touchdowns

Last week, Watson threw for one touchdown. That means in seven total games with the Browns, Watson has passed 1.5 passing touchdowns two times. One of those games was against the Commanders, and the other was against the Steelers last January when he threw two touchdowns that accounted for all 14 of the Browns' points. When the Browns get in the red zone, it's running time. Hell, that even applies to Watson himself, who had a rushing touchdown of his own last week.

The total is tied for the lowest of Week 2 at 38.5, meaning the books don't expect many points. A total this low at a near pick 'em means they don't even expect the Browns to score three touchdowns in this game. With two touchdowns expected, Watson would have to make both passing touchdowns for this to hit, and that just doesn't seem likely, given what we have seen during his time with the Browns. This line is juiced, but it's still worth it for the parlay.
