Chicago Bears vs. Kansas City Chiefs Prediction
You could not have scripted a worse start to the season for the Bears.
Chicago is 0-2 entering Sunday after a blowout loss in Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, followed by a hard-fought loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Things have been rough on the field, but news broke Wednesday that Bears defensive coordinator Alan Williams' house was raided along with a part of the Bears facility. Williams stepped down the same day.
Quarterback Justin Fields was quoted saying, “It could be coaching,” when asked what the issues were with this Bears team.
Wide receiver DJ Moore was caught mic'd up agreeing with an opposing player who told him the Bears offense does not use him correctly.
Chicago has struggled to move the football offensively.
Fields leads the team in passing (427 yards) and rushing (62 yards).
Chicago has been playing from behind early in the year, which is not allowing them to run the football with any kind of consistency.
Wide receiver DJ Moore leads the squad with eight catches for 199 yards.
The Kansas City Chiefs bounced back after a Week 1 loss, beating the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2.
It was not a pretty win, but a win nonetheless, led by a strong effort from the Kansas City defense.
Patrick Mahomes has thrown for 457 yards this season.
Running back Isaiah Pacheco leads the Chiefs in rushing yards with 93.
Travis Kelce returned in Week 2 but was on somewhat of a snap count. Kelce is not expected to have any kind of limitations for this game.
Chicago Bears vs. Kansas City Chiefs Pick
As great of a player as Patrick Mahomes is, he has not been good against numbers this large.
Chicago has had a week from hell, and this is a below-average team, but if they can run the football and use the clock to limit the possessions of Mahomes, they will stay within this number.
The Bears will play this game desperately as they look to avoid going 0-3. The team will come out motivated and stay within this large number.
