The Cincinnati Bengals host the Seattle Seahawks after a major bounce back win over the Cardinals. Can Joe Burrow lead the Bengals back to .500 and put up points against the Seattle defense? Jason Radowitz breaks down the Seahawks vs. Bengals Week 6 game.
ANALYSIS

Seahawks vs. Bengals Prediction, Pick, Odds: Can Joe Burrow Get Cincinnati Back to .500?

The Cincinnati Bengals have had a rough start to the season this year. The Bengals are just 2-3, averaging only 283.6 yards per game on offense.

Nobody expected that.

However, the Bengals can return to .500 with a win against the Seahawks. They'd then be able to regroup with a bye week and would still have a chance at making the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks had a bye week, giving them more time to prepare for the Bengals. Seattle's on a three-game winning streak and has won two road games in those three victories.

Can we trust the Bengals at home in Week 6?

Seattle Seahawks vs. Cincinnati Bengals Prediction

The Cincinnati Bengals finally showcased some consistent offense last week. The Bengals added 34 points on the road against the Arizona Cardinals.

While the Cardinals are one of the worst teams in the NFL, just seeing the offense perform was good enough.

Joe Burrow has been injured all year. But he's finally starting to move around better in the pocket. The offensive line has still struggled to protect him, and the run game has only earned 74.5 yards per game.

So, while Burrow has struggled, the entire team hasn't played up to par.

It's also not just the offense. The defense has allowed 367.6 yards per game, including 154 yards on the ground. The run defense has been awful, and the secondary hasn't looked any better.

The Bengals have an efficient pass rush. But what good is it if the secondary can't do their jobs?

Meanwhile, the Seahawks had a bye week last weekend. Seattle is still on a three-game win streak after a dominant performance against the Giants.

Don't watch this game if you're tired of seeing Joe Burrow get sacked.

Seattle is dominant on the line of scrimmage defensively. The Seahawks have held teams to 87.5 yards per game on the ground. However, the secondary hasn't lived up to expectations this season, allowing 305.3 yards per game in the air.

On offense, the Seahawks are led by Geno Smith, who has thrown five touchdowns and only one interception. Smith should have success throwing the football. But, like Burrow, he'll need to get rid of it quickly due to Cincinnati's pass rush.

Seattle won't have any trouble scoring against the Bengals. Meanwhile, the Bengals likely won't dominate in the run game. But if Burrow can move around better in the pocket, and Tee Higgins is healthy and playing, the Bengals should also effectively throw the ball down the field against the Seahawks.

Therefore, I'll take the Over 45.5 in this matchup.
