San Francisco 49ers vs. Minnesota Vikings Prediction

San Francisco enters play with a record of 5-1 on the season.

The 49ers suffered their first loss of the season a week ago to the Cleveland Browns.

Despite the loss, the 49ers are still the current favorite to win the NFC.

Brock Purdy leads this San Francisco offense. The former Iowa State Cyclone has thrown for 1,396 yards, 10 touchdowns, and one interception.

Running back Christian McCaffrey leads this 49er backfield; McCaffrey has been one of the best running backs in football in the last few years. He has rushed for 553 yards and seven touchdowns this season.

Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has been the favorite option of Purdy. Aiyuk has racked up 25 catches for 454 yards and two touchdowns.

The 49ers defense ranks first in the NFL in points allowed per game (14.5).

Minnesota will begin play with a record of 2-4.

The Vikings beat the Chicago Bears a week ago to pick up their second win of the season.

Veteran signal caller Kirk Cousins leads this Minnesota offense. Cousins has thrown for 1,679 yards, 14 touchdowns, and four interceptions.

Running back Alexander Mattison has been the top option for the Vikings. Mattison has rushed for 320 yards.

Minnesota does not have one rushing touchdown as a team this season.

Wide receiver Justin Jefferson leads the team in receiving. The former LSU standout has racked up 571 yards and three touchdowns. Jefferson will not play in tonight's game as he is expected to be out of the lineup for the next month.

The Vikings defense ranks 21st in points allowed per game (22.5).

San Francisco 49ers vs. Minnesota Vikings Pick

It is rare that I go with a heavy public side, but this game is a complete mismatch.

The 49ers will enter this game with a chip on their shoulder after losing their first game of the season a week ago.

The 49ers are too good of a team to play poorly in back-to-back games.

This 49ers defense will limit the production of the Vikings offense, who will be without their superstar in Jefferson.

The Minnesota defense has looked poor all season long and will struggle to get off the field tonight.
