Both teams have slim chances of making the playoffs, but Tampa Bay has a better chance than Carolina as they are only one game behind the Saints and Falcons for the lead in the NFC South.
It has been a disastrous season for the Panthers, as they recently fired their former head coach, Frank Reich, offensive coordinator, Josh McCown, and running back Coach Deuce Staley.
Bryce Young, the Panthers' first overall pick, has struggled early in his NFL career, and it does not help that the second overall pick, CJ Stroud, is in the MVP conversation.
To make matters worse, Carolina does not own their first-round pick, which currently belongs to the number one pick.
Chuba Hubbard, the former Oklahoma State cowboy, leads the Panther's rushing attack.
Adam Thielen has been Young's favorite target, leading the team with 728 yards and four touchdowns.
However, the Carolina defense has been one of the worst in football this season, allowing opponents 26.5 points per game.
On the other hand, Baker Mayfield leads the Tampa Bay offense.
The former Heisman Trophy winner has thrown for 2,588 yards.
Rachaad White has been the top option in the running game, rushing for 703 yards and touchdowns.
Mike Evans has racked up 850 yards and nine touchdowns and is on his way to another 1000-yard receiving season.
The Bucs defense ranks 13th in football.
