5 minBroncos vs. Lions Prediction, Pick, Odds: Can the Broncos Shock Jared Goff, Lions?
The Detroit Lions fell to 9-4 after losing to the Chicago Bears last weekend. That was Detroit's second loss in the previous three games after the Lions began the season with an 8-2 record.
Detroit might've peaked a little too early, while its Week 15 opponent did the opposite.
The Broncos lost three straight games to begin the season, including a 70-20 loss to the Dolphins. But now Denver is sitting at 7-6 and smack in the middle of the AFC playoff race

Broncos vs. Lions Prediction
The Detroit Lions haven't had much success over the last few weeks. The Lions are just 1-2 in their previous three games and have allowed at least 26 points in each of their last five games.
The defense has allowed over 24 points per game this season. The Lions have also allowed over 225 yards passing and nearly 97 yards rushing per game this season.
Detroit's secondary has been poor, and the missed tackles have been stacking up.
However, Jared Goff's play as the quarterback of the Lions has been more concerning recently.
Goff has thrown for nearly 3,500 yards with 21 touchdowns and ten interceptions. However, he's only added 236 passing yards or fewer in three of his last four games. Goff has thrown two interceptions in the previous two losses and has had a low completion percentage with five sacks.
The offense isn't moving as well as it did earlier this season.
The Lions have still earned over 250 yards passing and nearly 140 yards rushing this season. But that hasn't happened recently.
Meanwhile, the Broncos have a dreadful secondary and a run defense that has allowed 144 yards per game. But the entire defense has improved in the second half.
Denver just held the Chargers to seven points. They also allowed just 22 to the Texans and 12 points to the Browns.
After, Denver has given up no more than 22 points in any game since October 8. The 23.77 points per game is inflated due to Miami's 70-point outburst earlier in the season.
The Broncos certainly miss a lot of tackles. However, the defense has improved over time. Denver has won four of their last five games and has much more momentum than the Lions, who have lost two straight games.
However, Goff and the Lions are still a fierce offense that can click at any moment. That's why I'd prefer taking the Over 47.5 in this game.
I wouldn't be surprised if both teams ended up with at least 24 points.
